Fast as the dukes of hazard! Great scooter!

This scooter is super fast! Like even when someone my size, full size rides it, this thing is not slowing down! It’s got great brakes. The battery charger is lightning fast and you get a good 45-60 minutes on the charge. The kickstand broke off because my son fell. But you can order a replacement. It works great and I think it’s the best gift I have ever given. The color is gender neutral. It’s just st so easy to ride and fun. It’s a great size for a teen of a bigger person like myself. It is quiet as a kitten. Highly recommend for anyone! You won’t regret it, great value for your money.

    Scootin’ Away!

This electric scooter is everything I hoped for. It’s fast, stable, and handles all kinds of terrain without issues. The battery life is impressive and easily lasts through long rides and multiple errands. Acceleration is quick, the brakes are responsive, and the overall ride feels solid and comfortable. It was heavy on the box but once I had it out and about, it wasn’t as heavy. I’ve taken it around the block, on bike paths, and through parks. It’s just a fun, convenient way to get around. Highly recommend if you want something reliable, well built, and actually enjoyable to ride. Now my wife wants me buy another one so we can ride together.

Very fun and extremely well made!

Okay, so I bought this as a parting away gift for my brother who is starting college in the fall. He won’t have a car for the first year and the campus isn’t too large so I figured with the nice weather, he’ll be able to have a scooter. When the box came, it had a nice charge and assembly took 2 minutes, no joke. The scooter folds together so you can carry it like a briefcase to your side. I’d say it weights 12-15 pounds but I might be wrong, very durable and functional app to adjust speed modes. The best part, in my opinion, is the lock feature. Without the app, you cannot unlock the scooter and start riding! Fits in any trunk or backseat of any car, highly recommend to those who are searching for the ‘right’ one!

    Some flaws

The charger plug is super annoying, it goes the speed as advertised. Super easy to assemble. Lights function well. Nice color I guess. It can get up to 15 miles range in standard mode before it dies off. This is no reflection of the quality of the product but rather the type of product but it absorbs every crack in the road and having ridden it for over 100 miles in East mesa in Arizona, US, it does not make for a very comfortable ride/experience. Personally I would’ve gone for a bike but it does get you from point A to B without breaking a sweat but probably not in Arizona haha. The app is a nice addition. The Bluetooth lock mechanism doesn’t work far from the phone. If you’re going to buy this you’re gonna need to buy a lock and a helmet so this price helps. Folding mechanism is very nice because I fold it into the back of my car on occasion. The display is very helpful. It could be simplified in my opinion. Having eco mode and speed mode is nice. The brakes and bell work well. The handlebars are very quality. I would’ve personally bought a scooter that has suspension or just a mountain bike. The lights are pretty nice in the back too. The battery life is pretty good but it accelerates better when you don’t overcharge and keep it in shade and nice temperature. I will update with any findings

    Smooth, fast and well-built

We have been using this scooter for a week now, and it’s been great. It’s fast, easy to ride, and feels sturdy, which I wasn’t expecting. The battery lasts a while, definitely enough to get around without stressing. It charges decently fast, too. Folds up easily and doesn’t weigh too much, so carrying it upstairs or into a car isn’t a hassle. Brakes feel reliable, and the lights are bright enough for night rides. No real complaints—it just works the way it should.

    Worth it

The dual braking system of this car makes me particularly at ease. With the dual protection of holding the brake by hand and pressing the brake by foot, it can handle various road conditions flexibly. The speed is not particularly fast, but it is sufficient for daily commuting and can be well controlled. The portability is also excellent. The foldable and portable design allows me to freely switch transportation modes and ride wherever I go. Although the speed is not very fast, it is highly flexible and interesting, adding a lot of fun to daily travel. The APP can set the maximum speed and is very friendly to beginners. Overall, this is a good product that emphasizes both safety and practicality.

minimal portable electric scooter with bells and whistles

This is simple and somewhat lightweight electric scooter compared to other electric scooters I’ve seen but it still has most of the bells and whistles found in more expensive electric scooters. This scooter is very portable and easy to transport, which is a big plus as some of the electric scooters can weight over 50lbs but weighting at just under 30lbs, it can be easily carried up and down the stairs as well as into the public transportation, such as bus and train. This electric scooter is made out of solid aluminums that looks clean and elegant. It has a bright LED display screen that shows the current speed, battery level, and mode. There’s just one button under the LED display screen, which can be used to power on/off, turn on/off the headlight, and change the speed mode. All these changes can be accomplished by how long you press the button or how quickly you press the button, which is really neat design. The acceleration trigger is on the right hand side and can be activated using the thumb on the right hand while holding the handle bar, while the left hand side has a break similar to the bicycle and it will apply the disc breaks on both wheels. I love the safety feature where the tail light is activated whenever a break is applied so that the cars and people behind you know that you are slowing down. The scooter has Bluetooth connectivity and can connect to the app on your phone, which opens up many settings can be set from the app. It will record the current mileage, total mileage, show battery level, lock/unlock the scooter, and even limit the max speed. Overall, it’s a solid electric scooter with 350W motor and decent battery range. 8.5″ solid tires roll smoothly without worrying about having flat tires. It will make a great electric scooter for adults as a commuter scooter in the city or for any teenagers or children with added safety feature turned on.

The Perfect Electric Scooter for Adults !

I recently bought this electric scooter, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision! From the moment I took it out of the box, I was impressed. The 350W motor is a game-changer! I can easily reach speeds up to 22 MPH, which makes my daily commutes feel exhilarating rather than mundane. Plus, it handles inclines like a champ!l opted for the 8.5” tires, and they make such a difference. Not only do they provide a smooth ride, but they also handle potholes and uneven sidewalks surprisingly well. There were a few times I hit bumps hard, and I was amazed at how stable and comfortable the ride was. I can run errands and meet friends without the nagging worry of running out of battery. I took it for a longer ride this weekend, and it performed beautifully!I also love how easy it is to fold up. I can slip it into my car trunk or take it on the train without any hassle. The design feels sturdy and premium, and I’ve received compliments from friends about how sleek it looks.

Decent acceleration, long range, fairly lightweight, well-priced. Joy to ride

I had ridden several electric scooters before… This review was written after using it for almost a month.IN A NUTSHELLThe Roinside UP6A is a joy to ride. With decent acceleration and a medium-width base for stability, maneuvering it with the wind brushing against my helmet-protected face felt good and freeing! The brake, gear selection, and acceleration controls were second-nature, and the ability to fold the scooter for carrying around added space-saving convenience around the garage and car trunks. At just 15 lbs, it is fairly lightweight. It packs a good amount of power (350W nominal), but can struggle going up hills (it slows down considerably on steep slopes), and is priced much more competitively against well-established brands, such as Segway and Razor, for models with similar specifications.I was able to tandem ride the scooter on its first day for 15 miles with the battery run down to 40% remaining, solo for 29 miles with 25% left, and always felt that there was plenty of capacity left to stroll around the neighborhood at up to 18 mph, a speed limit artificially set by California law. And that leads to the biggest gripe: the California law for motorized scooters that went into effect on January 1, 2005. Although I understand the intent behind the law to protect people from injury, it had put a tremendous damper on my ability to RESPONSIBLY enjoy riding it around town. Federal, State, and local City laws will also differ. With that said, it does not take away from the fact that driving an electric vehicle is quite fun.PROS- Good (but not strong) acceleration with a powerful, brushless DC motor– Nominal (average) power: 350W– Satisfying sound coming from the electric motor- Great range and good battery life— Before I knew about California law restricting motorized scooters, I cautiously test rode with my 35 lb son on mostly flat sidewalks (with some gradual inclines/declines) for long stretches throughout the neighborhood and parks- At 15 lbs, is less expensive than brand names for scooters of similar range and weight- Folds fairly flat– Can be carried single-handed by the neck- Readable display in bright sunlight- Built-in kickstand- Arrived fully assembledCONS- Speed capped at 19 mph to comply with US regulation– Sometimes, I wish I could ride faster, but have to remind myself that the limit is for my safety- Vertical part is not height-adjustableTIPSMAINTENANCE- Before first use, charge the battery fully– Lithium Ion batteries are known to be volatile and could catch on fire— Do not charge overnight or unsupervised for prolonged periods of time. Stop charging once full— Do not leave the scooter in full sun or below freezing– Keep battery charged at 50% or more to prolong battery’s 500+ cycle lifespan. Try to never let it drain completely- Before riding, check the tire pressure and tighten any loose screwsOPERATION- Do not brake hard. Doing so could make you painfully tumble, scooter skid, and/or wear out the tires– Be aware of unexpected obstacles. I tumbled once at roughly 5 mph when transitioning from grass to concrete. It was not fun- I found the most stability (especially when turning) by putting one foot pointing forward and the other at 45 degrees to the side- As battery neared empty, I noticed that maximum speed gradually lowered- Roinside states that the scooter is designed for only 1 rider. California law does prohibit having a passengerMOTOR SCOOTER LAWSWhen I was made aware by a friend that there are laws governing the use of motorized scooters, I was sad to see how restrictive they were. I considered myself to be a cautious, responsible, and respectful rider when taking my son out on a slow, controlled ride on the sidewalk with both of us having helmets on, slowing down considerably (to 1-3 mph) and moving to the side when approaching a pedestrian. Like a bike rider, I yielded to people as a matter of respect and courtesy, and constantly checked on and reminded my son to stand solid and to hang on tight. Any potential obstacles were avoided, turns were made with caution, and as with bike riding, I wanted to stay on the sidewalk whenever possible to keep the little one safe and away from speeding cars. The point is, courtesy, caution, and riding alert go a long way in being safe, in my opinion. With that said, I read that there were a number of accidents involving scooters hitting pedestrians or riders hurting themselves. I get it. Laws are there to protect people from each other and themselves, especially from irresponsible individuals. Luckily, when a police officer drove past on the third day of test riding, he did not stop and ticket for scooting on the sidewalk with my son.CALIFORNIA LAWCalifornia Vehicle Code in January 2005 regulated the operation of a motorized scooter. Keep in mind that Federal, State, and local city ordinances may differ.Disclaimer: I AM NOT A LAWYER. Please consult your local city, police department, and/or legal professional for advice. The following is my interpretation of how I understand the law. It has been shortened due to Amazon limitation on the number of characters in a review text.- Must ride with a Driver’s License or Instruction Permit- Must wear a bike helmet if under 16 years of age- Don’t ride on a sidewalk unless necessary to enter or leave an adjacent property- Don’t ride with another passenger- Don’t carry something that prevents keeping at least 1 hand on the handlebars- Don’t ride with the handlebars up so high, the hands are above the shoulders- Maximum scooter speed: 15 mph, regardless of any higher-posted speed limits- Can’t ride on a street with a 25 mph (or higher) speed limit, unless there’s a bike lane to be in– HELP: Anybody know what your options are when there is no bike lane available on such streets?- Take the bike lane, if one exists- May ride on a bike path/trail/lane- Don’t leave scooter on its side on any sidewalk (or in any other position) that blocks pedestriansCONCLUSIONRiding the scooter and exploring has been so much fun! The thrill and freedom felt while zipping around on the board with speeds up to 19 mph reminded me of snowboarding up and down the mountains. However, despite what I felt was respectful, responsible, alert, and cautious riding with my passenger son on sidewalks, he and I were both saddened to learn that doing so was illegal. It is what it is.The Roinside UP6A, with its comparatively light weight, decent motor, and long range, makes for a great scooter that costs slightly less than most competitors with similar models. It folds compact for one-handed carry. Its construction appears and feels solid, and with the right stance and balance, I felt in control the entire time

Scooter runs well, easy to control and, handle wire needs to be easier to tuck

The media could not be loaded.

I really loved this scooter so I also got it for my cousin who just started college. He actually really loves this scooter so far. I will say that this scooter is not faster than the ones you rent on the street but it still runs pretty well. It is not a big size scooter so it is easy to store in your dorm room or apartment which is what my nephew does. The handle height cannot be adjusted and therefore can make it a bit uncomfortable for some riders who may not like the height of the handle bar. The scooter is well packaged and spaced so you do not have to worry about it being damaged but I would say be careful when removing the scooter from the box. When assembling it, be very careful of the wires from the handle to the rest of the scooter. Although the wires are thick, it is something you could break off if you yank it too hard so just careful when taking the handle part off or out of the box. It was also a bit hard to tuck the cable into the shaft of the scooter. I was worried about clipping the wires so I would say just careful not to push the handle on the cable. The wheels are not bad and pretty big so I do not have to worry about the bottom of the scooter hitting the bottom on certain bumps. They work well on the side walk and streets for the most part. In terms of replacement, I am not entirely sure what to replace the wheels with in the future when they wear down. I would say try not to drag the scooter on the wheels if possible. I have not had issue with rocks or anything getting caught between the wheel and the frame. The wheels have not worn down too much and the rims of the wheel as solid. My cousin has not had issues with it breaking from bumps and such. The shock absorbance is okay but you still feel it when you are riding on the scooter unfortunately on the handle bars. The bottom is made of solid piece to protect the electronics and battery. I am not entirely sure how waterproof this scooter is but from normal scratches and scuffs, it is something that can take some abuse. Regardless, I would always avoid places where your scooter can get caught on the bottom. The lights are not best light but they work for late night rides around campus. The lights are directional but you cannot adjust it in terms of position. It is a part of the controls on the top such as powering the scooter on and off and such. The controls are not too difficult to learn and pretty straight forward. There is just the usual brakes, acceleration, and light control. The handle bar position does not really able to attach those phone holders. You can collapse the scooter for easy storage or to carry around if you need to but this is still a heavy scooter so it is not something that can carry around long term but for my nephew he can take it into class and leave it on the side of his desk. Back to the handle bars. They are solid and easy to grip. The grips have not worn down or anything but careful when leaving this in the sun because that can cause the material to crack or stick to your hand. I am not sure if the handles can be replaced. I would only really suggest one person riding this at a time. It only has space for one. The actual padding allows for a good grip on the scooter so you are not sliding when you brakes and such. The brakes on this is not bad but you still can use the back brakes like any scooter. The only thing is that it does wear down the back tire so try not to use it too often and use the normal handle brakes of possible. The assembly is not too difficult. It is pretty much just installing the handle bar and putting the handle up to lock it. As stated before, be careful with the wire when putting them down into the main shaft. The application is not too hard to learn but my cousin does not really have much use for the application for himself. The speed on this is not bad. It travel at a decent speed but not as fast as rental scooters. Overall the scooter works decently and has helped my cousin get around the campus quickly and easily. It is not too hard to use and is easy to control/maneuver. He is pretty happy with how it runs and it is a good low end scooter to have if you want to have a motor scooter. The battery life give you a good amount of miles, but the recharge does takes a few hours. It will not run with the device plugged in other than if you manually push the scooter. The scooter charger does get warm so do not put this under anything that can retain heat. It is a power brick so just keep it somewhere cool when plugged in. The wheels are nice, but I am unsure what to replace them with in the future. It is safe to ride but again I am just not a fan of the wires. I feel like they are easy to get caught on something but they are thick so they are most likely really durable
