This is it!! Where has this thing been all my life??!! ❤️
The media could not be loaded.
Long but worth the read to know how to get your cats to use it. I chose this automatic litter box because of the open top. I have a male sphynx who has a long body and weighs 10 lbs and I also have a small female sphynx who weighs 6 pounds. My male does this crazy looking thing where he stands up on his hind legs and holds onto the side and pees. I had a feeling the enclosed litter robot might not work for him. I’m using the arm and hammer hard ball litter in this and it works wonderfully. The smell of this litter is amazing!! My whole room smells nice. Sphynx cats eat more than other cats and they are stinky when they poop! They can clear a room! The only time I smell the box is while they’re pooping and I never smell it again. I have this box set to turn over the poop to make sure it’s coated good and then clean and dump it 7 minutes after they get out! It’s perfect timing for my cats. It gives it time to clump and then dump. When I first started setting it up which is a breeze to do btw, my male kept jumping in it like it was a box to play in. I had to remove him 3 times to finish. I activated it to level the litter and he was fascinated with the movement and watched it. I removed their old breeze box completely out of sight and placed this new one in the exact same spot that the old box was. This is gross and graphic but it’s how you need to do it: The way you get them to use it is, you take a decent sized, coated with old cat litter turd out of your old box, you can use a glove, but I just used a few paper towels and picked the biggest one out before throwing the old box away. It was pretty dried so it broke up into 3 pieces when I went to put it in the new litter which worked out because I planted and slightly buried with the tops still showing slightly in 3 places spaced out in the new litter box. Make sure your new box here is set to manual instead of automatic so that it doesn’t dump your turds you just planted right away. If you have multiple cats, you can set it back to automatic AFTER ALL your cats have done their business. My male sniffed and quickly realized that this is not a box to play in but a box to do his business. He cautiously climbed up in it and scratched around and finally positioned himself which I took a picture of. My female was sleeping at the time, so she hadn’t had a chance to notice the new box yet, so the old turds and his business he just did was left in there. When she woke up, she went to the area and just stood there and looked at it for a couple of minutes but then she started smelling and inched closer to get a better whiff and check it out. Now, she’s pretty tiny so when she went to climb in, she struggled a little because it’s taller than what she’s used to. I need to find a small step but I haven’t found one yet that I can place in front of it on the mat to help her. I left her alone tho and didn’t help her because she was in the mood to use the box so I didn’t want to distract her or have her associate having to go with any disruptions so I let her struggle and pull herself up in there. She did the same thing he did, smelled for awhile and scratched around a bit and then she peed. I let her take her time getting out and go on about her business and then I turned the automatic on a few minutes later. Both cats just watched it move and it was very quiet so I didn’t bother them at all. They have used it every time like normal since and that was last Friday when I got it. I decided to check the drawer 4 days later and it was time to take the bag out and put a new one. Just DON’T open the drawer until you’re ready to change it because, it’s stinky when you open it. The drawer is sealed very well though and contains the smell so you only smell it when you open it. I’ve never smelled it at all before when walking by the box. I decided every 4 days was a good time frame to check and change the bag for my two cats so I set a 4 day reminder in the app. I love how you can just cinch it up and throw it away and the bags aren’t cheap. They are heavy duty! God!! That’s so easy and quick! I love it!! I may change litter but I love the smell of this one so much that I don’t want to. My male is a wild man getting out after he does his business. I guess he feels so good and light that he just barrels out of there so he flings. The mat is great though! I just fold it up a little on the sides once a day and dump it back in the box. I put another rug on the other side of the mat to catch anything in case he jumps out and over which he almost always does. That is working well. I was a little nervous about making this investment but it’s the best decision I’ve ever made for my cats and sooo worth it! I’ll never go back to sifting turds out everyday again!

No regrets! My second purchase!!!
This is my second purchase of this litter box. One of my cats did not like the closed in design of the litter robot we previously had for her and began doing her number twos just outside of the box. I researched and found Nekasa. She absolutely loves this box! No issues at all since we purchased it last year. My other cat had also had a litter robot but it started failing, though it was only two years old. I decided to go all in with Nekasa and replaced her box with this one. She never had issues using any box, so she’s using this one with no problem. She is an older cat, so we did have to make her a little step in front of it to make sure she is comfortably utilizing the box. The litter box itself is very well made. It’s sturdy, holds plenty of litter, has a large capacity waste bin, is easy to clean, and easy to replace bags in. The biggest thing to me is the amount of noise it makes. I was shocked at how quiet it is! My only comparison is the litter robot, but Nekasa is so much quieter. Nekasa keep up the great work, I’m already a huge fan. To me these are worth every penny.

Has changed life with having cats. Wish I’d known how much!
This has been a game changer for us with cats. I have looked at these for several years now and just could never justify the cost, which is near prohibitive. However, due to various circumstances, my frustration with having to deal with regular litter box due to nagging the actual owner of the cat – a teenager – to clean the litter every day, and finally going upstairs to a room that reeked of ammonia because the litter box was simply being ignored, was the last straw. I calculated what the litter box would cost me per month, of it cost $500 and only lasted a year, and decided that monthly cost of roughly $40 was worth it to not have to deal with it anymore. I had no idea how much it would positively impact cat ownership for us. We’ve gone from a daily hassle and headache with stress due to having to constantly nag my daughter to keep up with the litter, along with the scoops, trash bags, little trash can full of overflowing poop that flies love to make a beeline for, to a hallway and room that you can’t even smell that there is a litter box, no scooping, no hassle, no making my teen boys stand with the kitchen trash can open while I pour the soaked litter crystals out. No kore nagging my daughter, no more mess surrounding the litter box from all of the accessories required to use a conventional one, and no more hassle! It works perfectly, app is seamless, litter is always clean, and cats and humans are happy! If I’d known it would be such a life changing device, I would’ve bought one three years ago when we first got the cats. My only gripes are that the rubber tape on the inside has already started to come off, and litter is getting trapped in the space between (small gripe) and the trash can thing below registers full and litter box stays upside down until fixed LONG before it’s actually full. It requires that we show it up so the contents settle, to make full use of each bag, but those two issues are far less bother than what we were dealing with before we got this. I just wish it would jiggle the box below by itself so it would reshuffle the contents and not flag it as full before it’s actually full. Other than that, it’s perfect!

From luxury to necessity
I have 3 cats and stick very strictly to the “1 litter box per cat plus one extra” rule. So the idea of needing to buy multiple automatic litter boxes sounded way too expensive. Before I bought my first automatic litter box I did a ton of research and concluded this one was the best choice for my cats. I knew they would need a large surface and a big open top. Two of my cats are very skittish and would probably never enter a litter box that had a tiny hole.I bought my first litter box during a sale which made it feel a little more reasonable, but the price still seemed excessive. It was super easy to setup and the cats started using it pretty quickly. I still had my other litter boxes, but I was excited to see that they used both.Fast forward a few months and I needed to separate two of my cats due to fighting. Which meant I needed to put a litter box in my bedroom. I was really grossed out by the idea and was only willing to put a self cleaning litter box in my room. So naturally I bought a second one rather than moving the one I already owned. It has now been in my bedroom for a few months and I have been very pleased with how clean and almost odorless everything is. Eventually I bought another one when there was a sale, which I rationalized was okay because at least I was getting a deal! This brought me up to 3 automatic litter boxes and 1 archaic/gross box that I had to clean. It was amazing at how quickly I came to believe automatic boxes were the only way to live.I have been waiting for another deal to complete my collection and when I saw the litter box was on sale, and at the best price I have ever seen, I jumped on it (metaphorically) . Thus concluding my journey to a 100% automatic litter box home. Some may view it as extremely posh to have 4 of them, but the joy of not having to clean a litter box daily has been completely worth it.It’s not perfect. The machine tends to drop waste so everything piles up all in one place. The bags aren’t my favorite and putting them in the bottom compartment always feels wonky. Sometimes litter waste can clog up some of the sifter section. But even with these faults, I doubt there is a litter box currently on the market in the same price range as this product that is better. And those issues still don’t outweigh cleaning 4 litter boxes daily in my eyes. They better last the lifespan of my cats! LolOne last thing, if your power goes out quite often, this might not be the right path for you.

Amazing for about 3 Months
After weeks of watching video reviews, I decided on this litter box over the Litter Robot 4. It worked beautifully at first. Did exactly what I needed for my 3 cats, very easy to empty and to deep clean. One of the reasons I chose this one was because of the ease of cleaning. After a little over 3 months, an error started about once a week, that said the bin was full when it was not. I would just remove and replace and it would work again. About 2 weeks later, an error “Motor Overload” started and now the litter box does not work fully. At first, if I just lifted the bin and set it back down, it would start up again, but now it will rotate and stop at the dumping phase and I have to manually dump it. It was great while it lasted, but I did see other reviews that said the motor was not well built and it didn’t last long. It’s very unfortunate, as this is a pricey litter box with great potential. I am very disappointed that it only lasted 3 months. Stopped functioning right after the return window closed. Neakasa really needs to do something about this.

So much better than Litter Robot
Really happy with this purchase, everything smells better, is cleaner and the app does what it needs to do, in my opinion. I’ve had a litter robot 3 for a couple years and this thing is way better than the litter robot. I have 3 cats and their bathroom situation is way cleaner and subsequently safer due to the open top of the Neakasa.I had a thought recently that if I was a cat, I wouldn’t want the walls of my toilet surrounding me on all sides while I did my business, which is essentially what the litter robot is. Not to mention how dusty and gross all of the internals of the litter robot get even with regular cleaning. I was waiting for any kind of new innovation from litter robot before switching to a different brand, but it feels like the company has gotten complacent.

First-Time Cat Owner and This Litter Robot Is a Game Changer
I’m relatively new to the world of cats. We got our first cat 6 months ago and while I did all the reading and prep work, the one thing I truly underestimated was how much I would hate scooping litter. I didn’t realize how quickly the box could smell or how often I’d have to clean it to keep the area (and my house) fresh. I love our cat to pieces, but that part of pet parenthood? Not for me.After a week or two of daily scooping, I knew I needed something better. That’s when I found the Neakasa M1 and decided to take a chance on it. I can now confidently say it’s one of the best purchases I’ve made for both me and our cat.The Open-Top Design Makes a Huge DifferenceOne of my biggest concerns was whether my cat would even use an automatic litter box. A lot of them have small entryways or enclosed tops, which felt a bit intimidating for a cat that was still adjusting to her new home. What I loved about the M1 right away is the open-top design. It feels more like a regular litter box but smarter. Our cat walked up, sniffed around, and used it the very first day. No complicated training or weird adjustment period. The open design made it feel familiar and safe for her, and I really appreciated that as a first-time owner. No More Scooping. No More Smell. No More Stress. The self-cleaning feature is honestly a dream. The M1 quietly handles everything after each use, so the box stays clean without me having to do anything. It’s not noisy or disruptive either, it just quietly does its job.And the “pull and wrap” waste system? Genius. It wraps the waste into an odor-blocking bag that I just pull out and toss when it’s full. No digging around, no mess, and no lingering smell. For someone who is super sensitive to odor and kind of squeamish about cleanup, this feature alone is worth every penny. The App Makes Everything EasierAt first, I wasn’t sure I needed an app to go with a litter box, but now I check it regularly. The Neakasa app tells me when the box is full, when to add litter, and even keeps track of how often my cat is using it, which honestly gives me peace of mind about her health and habits. It’s super user-friendly and even lets me run cleaning cycles remotely if I want to. There are safety features built in too, so if my cat is nearby or steps on the base while it’s cleaning, it automatically pauses. I didn’t even know I needed that until I saw it in action. My Floors Are Cleaner TooOne of the unexpected bonuses is how well the included litter mat works. I used to find litter tracked all over the floor near her old box, but since switching to the M1, that’s nearly disappeared. It makes the space feel neater, and I don’t have to sweep as often, which is always a win.Who This Is Perfect For • First-time cat owners like me who don’t want the mess or the guesswork • People who want to minimize daily litter maintenance • Anyone who hates the smell of a traditional litter box and wants a cleaner home • Pet parents who want to keep a closer eye on their cat’s habits and health.Final VerdictIf you’re on the fence, I get it. It’s an investment — but for me, it was absolutely worth it. I haven’t scooped a litter box since setting this up, and my cat loves it. It keeps my space clean, my cat happy, and me completely stress-free when it comes to litter maintenance. If I could go back in time and buy this on day one, I would. Highly, highly recommend.

game changer !
ive searched the automatic litter box scene for the past 4 years since i first got a cat. the little robot seemed to bug and bulky, i didnt like the way it looked and something about it being open in the front and not the back didnt seem right. all the other ones on the market looked too small and my cats like their space when it comes to their little box ( stainless steel was a HUGE hit with my cats, enclosed litter box did fine but i didnt like the look of it )when this first hit the market, it looked like a spaceship and i loved it. i love the way this looks and the way that this litter box is open on top and not semi enclosed like the litter robot.pros: you can control this on the app, NO SUBSCRIPTION ( thank god, tired of subscription to things ). this will ask you for your cat(s) weight and will monitor when and how often they go. one pickiest cat loves this litter box and is the only one he will use. you can set a cleaning cycle for either how often in a day and or how long after your cat goes. i set this for an hour after one leaves it and its amazing, i love how easy it is, it doesnt smell at all, its really good at letting you know when it needs to be cleaned. will keep the litter box upside down if the tray is full ! theres an option to opt out of this but its good to have it to be safecons: depending on the litter you use, it will get dusty and you will need to wipe it down every so often. theres not a ton of features on the app so its not completely customizable but it is enough for this to be a good investment. they also sell their own bag when it comes to liners. they are kinda expensive and you can probably just use a good trash bag. their trash bags are just made for the tray and built for you to pull the string and tie to close. i feel like there could be adjustments here but thats about it. the trashbags can use some worki got this while it was on sale for prime day and it is honestly such a good price for what youre getting. wont unalive your cats like some other automatic litter boxes, will keep your place clean and not smelling like you have cats.if you are looking to know what kind of litter to use, PLEASE use a SUPER FINE LITTER. i use OkuCats Super Soft litter and it goes through it like a breeze with clumping and everything. but OkuCat regular litter does not work very well. you will end up wasting litter if you use pellet litter or a thick clumping litter. any clay litter will be great because it is thin. OkuCat Super Soft is my go too, just a little dusty. go for dust free if anything for minimal clean upif this ever goes on sale GET IT. IT IS WELL WORTH THE MONEY !!

Works great
I extensively read the reviews good and bad before buying but I took the gamble. Overall this product had better cons that seemed less drastic than others, such as product never connecting to WiFi or breaking CATastrophically (pun intended?). Some of the cons were saying about how the noise is too loud or they had to request special stickers or else poop would smear all over the sides, or how the app has “mystery cats” that appear on it. I believe a lot of the complaints on this product are user error. Also need to add here is the “sticker” concern that most reviews have said something about and given a low star rating, the unit now comes with the stickers you do not have to request it.Pros: This unit is not loud at all anyone complaining it’s loud is incorrect. There is one singular beep if you click manually to clean, otherwise there are no other beeps and its very quiet. If your cat is scared of beeps you may as well give up on the idea of an automated litter box and scoop because everything is going to beep. It also has a weighted sensor that if the cat goes to step on it, it will cease all motor functions and wait till the cat leaves. The app is actually really great, not paid for like some others. The “mystery cat complaint” is literally because of the incorrect weights. If you put in a cats weight and the cat weighs more than that the app will just say “cat” has entered the litter box. It’s not fool-poof, there’s also no real reason to need that function it’s just interesting to see which cat is using it and when. I have 2 cats and the weight barely ever says the correct cats name, however, this isn’t a deal breaker for me I just setup a camera at the litter box and then I can see when they use it. You can also set it to either automatic on time intervals, after a cat leaves, or just set it to manual. I set it to manual because my cats were a little scared and I want them to be acclimated to it before I set it back to automatic. It works just as intended, a little big but if it was any smaller my big cat wouldn’t fit in it. The unit is easy to clean on the outside, I like how it also has a button to purge the litter so you can wipe off the cradle area and change out the litter entirely.I’ll add this, mine originally came cracked/broken, when I contacted the company they immediately responded and gave me the label to send back the unit. I received a new one in a few weeks perfectly fine no qualms what so ever. The customer service was fast and kind which was a big plus. Definitely important to hold onto the original box for a few weeks while you test the product, do not throw the box away this will save you headaches if there are any mechanical failures or body damage.Make sure you get compatible litter, I see people complaining about the compartment that it dumps to smearing against the side of the litter box as it rolls out. I’m almost 90% sure that this is because they’re using some kind of cheap litter or litter that clumps too much and it piles up. The litter dispenses into the far corner of the tray, every now and then I check it to make sure it’s not piling up and shift it around myself to make sure it’s even. I have not had any problems with this, it takes 2 seconds to do and I’ve never received any kind of error about the shelf itself. You do need to make sure the bag is wrapped around the shelf correctly or else the unit will get mad. I used Dr. Elsey’s Cat Litter, works great.Cons: I would prefer the gate in the cradle to be removable, small pieces can easily fly in and get stuck back there, which also means that they are rolling around and smearing whatever back there. As a person who hates germs, this kind of irritates me. Unless you completely unscrew the gate there’s no real way to get back there unless you spray with soap and water but that’s not good enough to me, might be to others. The stickers don’t work super well, litter will get stuck in the cracks and they are a little hard to put on. They stay on, but it bothers me that litter shoves itself in, eventually I may have to request more stickers or find an alternative. Other problem I’ve encountered is purely cat based. The unit is a little high, but you can buy a step stool for your cat, or pay the 70$ for the cat ramp with the litter dispenser that the company has. I went the boujee route and bought the70$ ramp, my cats avoid the ramp and hop out of the side of the unit throwing litter everywhere. Cats are cats, the smart thing won’t always work, you almost need 2 of the mats they give to insure that you catch most of the litter. I’m having to sweep up or vacuum around the unit a lot because my cats hate me. However, I’d rather sweep up then have to fill my lungs with cat stuff every single night so small price to pay.I would give it 5 stars if they had a means of ordering the stickers or if there was a way to remove the gate. Overall still a better unit then what’s out there. I waited a month and a half before writing this to make sure I had some facts straight. Hopefully it’s helpful.

Where has this been all my life?!?
I have used every self cleaning litter box out there – the common manual ones where you have a sifting tray or you roll the litter box over to not so common which looked like some kind of dump truck system you had to crank. I’ve also used all the electric ones – the rakes, the rollers, the washing litter – there isn’t a system I haven’t tried. If I wanted to depress myself I’d take a picture of the pile of money sitting in my garage in self cleaning cat box form. So many tried, so many failed. Either they were too complex, they made a huge mess, the smell was awful, they were a pain to empty, they were a pain to clean, just stopped working, they took up massive amounts of space, or the cats refused to use them. Or some combination of all of the above. But I am an inherently lazy person who loves cats and a good gadget, so when I saw this new self-cleaning box I was overcome with a Gollum like desire to own one. This would surely be the self-cleaning cat box of my dreams.Shockingly, it almost is. You still have to empty a drawer once a week or so – the poop doesn’t magically disappear – but in the month I’ve owned it, I’ve been more than pleased with the purchase. It’s very easy to set up. You just put the legs on. They’ve done proper design – you can only insert the posts in the correct place. You download the app and follow the very clear directions for pairing the box with your phone. You add your cats in the app by weight – the box will do an exact weight later, so you can just take a guess at the moment. And that’s it.There’s tons of options for set up on the box – you can turn the sound on or off, there’s a kitten mode, you can set up the time between use and clean or if you just want it to run at certain times, and a quiet time where it won’t run at all.My cats were a tad suspicious of the box that moved on its own as you can see from the picture. I didn’t run it on auto at first. I’d track when they used it – you can tell when the cats were just looking in the box and when one actually got in. And based on the length of time in the box, you could also tell if the used it or were just checking it out. Then I ran it only when I was in the room too. After about a week I started using the app to run it when I was in the next room. So the cats could hear it start and go check and see I wasn’t concerned. After a couple days of that, I put it on auto. Because the app allowed me to see they were using the box like normal, I didn’t have to worry they’d boycotted the box and found a corner in a closet. The white cat is still highly suspicious and convinced there’s a critter in there she might need to kill (she’s a mighty indoor only hunter) so she’ll check around the box while it’s running. When she tries to look in the box during the cycle, it stops and waits until she’s finished examining everything and then will continue after she’s been clear 10 seconds. It also moves very slowly and in short stages which alleviates any concern that one of them might get caught somehow.Because of the white cat’s abiding suspicion, she often digs in the litter to see if there’s something hiding in there after the cycle runs, pulling litter out of the box. But a handy mat was included with the box that allows the litter to fall into it and you can just dump it back into the box without worrying about tracking it everywhere.I can also tell by looking at the app that she will only use the box when there is light in the bathroom, so I’ve started leaving the bathroom light on for her and get her a little night light by the box. It’s really nice to be able to track things like that. The app will also tell you when the waste bin is full. With two cats that’s about every 5-6 days. The drawer is easy to access and the bags are easy to replace. You just want to make sure you don’t trap air under the bag or the box might register the bin full before it is.It doesn’t take up much more space than a regular box and you can put it really close to the wall. There are only two issues I have with the box. One is the height. My striped cat has stumpy legs and needs a small step to get in the box. The step you can buy from them is crazy expensive for what it is. The other is the bags provided for the bin don’t shut fully after they’re full. I have to put the full bin bag in another small trash bag so I can tie it closed to keep the smell down. But neither issue is overly onerous to deal with, so I’m not put out. Certainly not a big deal compared to all the positives. Is it expensive? Yes. I got mine during Prime Days and there was a good discount, but it’s still pricy. However, it totally delivers on keeping the litter box clean and the cats happy while being very easy to use. I’d make the purchase again in a heartbeat.
