Great Cans… *IF* you can get them on sale
The Beats Studio headphones present a compelling option, particularly when found at a discounted price. While their Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and sound quality offer only a marginal improvement over the AirPods Pro, their overall package truly shines in other areas. It’s worth noting that sound quality does improve with lossless audio when connected via USB-C, but I’ve intentionally minimized this in my evaluation, as wired headphones fundamentally exist in a different category for me.Comfort is a standout feature; they are exceptionally comfortable and snug, and their aesthetic is undeniably chic. The sound signature is notably balanced, and for closed-back ANC headphones, the soundstage is remarkably impressive – arguably their brightest shining attribute.Battery life is robust, and they boast rapid charging capabilities. Connectivity within my Apple ecosystem was seamless, quickly establishing them as my primary headphones for use with my work iMac.I acquired these at a significant discount, around $170 total, which was less than a new pair of AirPods Pro. At this price point, they represent an excellent value. You would be hard-pressed to find wireless, ANC-equipped over-ear headphones with this level of quality and such effortless Apple device integration for a comparable price. However, at their near-$350 retail price, better alternatives become available from brands like Sennheiser and Audio-Technica (including either wired and wireless options). Therefore, I strongly advise against paying close to full price for these headphones. Had I paid $300-$350, my rating would be closer to three stars. (On a related note, I consider the AirPods Max to be, at best, a one or two-star product at $550 – so, these Beats are undeniably the superior choice over the APMs). At their full retail price, these Beats simply aren’t worth it, primarily due to the aforementioned sound quality and only marginal ANC improvement over the AirPods Pro.Overall, however, I am extremely happy with this purchase and believe I secured a genuinely great deal. While I was tempted by the cuter Kim K color options, I ultimately chose the Deep Brown for a more timeless and classic aesthetic.I am thoroughly satisfied, and if you can purchase them for under $200, you truly can’t go wrong.

fantastic quality as always!
i had these headphones for 6 years and wore them until i had to keep them together with packing tape. they were physically falling apart but still held a hell of a charge and sound quality. finally decided to treat myself to a fresh pair of headphones and couldn’t imagine a life without my beats. so i bought the same ones and they’re as amazing as always and they fit much better. bluetooth works great, very comfortable, easy to use.

Almost Perfect, Just One Little Quirk
These Beats are amazing! Super comfortable on my ears—I wore them for 6 hours a day, 3 days straight, and didn’t feel any pressure or fatigue. The sound quality is excellent (and I’m a bit of an audiophile), though I did notice something slightly off in the right ear. Can’t quite pinpoint it, even after adjusting my Apple Music settings—but it’s subtle. The microphone? Powerful. I was speaking softly (since I couldn’t hear myself well with the noise isolation), and it still picked up everything crystal clear. The battery life is also impressive—feels like it lasts forever. Overall, really happy with them—just wish I could figure out that tiny sound imbalance.

OBSESSED!!!
Absolutely love! I compared these with a Bose pair and the Apple headphones and these ones came to be way more cheaper and overall so much better (battery life, Bluetooth, charging, product reviews). They are very minimal and so cute. The noise canceling is a dream, without even powering them on I can tell a difference.Comfort- if your anything like me I hate earbuds because my ears are so small and they hurt them. These headphones are the squishiest and I’m very pleased with the head band part and that comfort as well. I hate trying to rest my head on a plane or car and the plastic is hurting my head, I don’t need to worry about that with these headphones.Another thing I love on these is how simple it was to connect to them, literally all I had to do was power them on and they popped up on my phone to connect! I also appreciate how they look on my head while on, they don’t pop out too much and are very easy to adjust to be loose or nice and snug.

Review And Comparison To The Sennheiser Momentum 4
Highs: Beats > Sennheiser.High frequencies are good in both headphones, but Sennheiser has them more emphasized. Sometimes it feels like if you crank them slightly higher you’re gona hear sibilants. It’s on the edge and this is not the most pleasant edge to me. However, the sound is accurate and somewhat distinctive in the upper-frequency range for the Sennheiser. As for the Beats, highs are as detailed as on the Sennheiser (if not more) but not overemphasized.Mids: Beats > Sennheiser.Sennheisers have a so-called v-shaped sound profile so it feels like Beats have way more mids. It might be even too much at first, but you get used to it. Beats are more detailed and fast. Sennheiser feels muddy in comparison (but still very precise and detailed compared to Sony and Bose). I think it’s partially because of overemphasized bass that brings distortion into the mid range. You start hearing things that were not originally intended to be there by artists. Because of this, Sennheiser sounds more “musical”, it fills the voids between the instruments and produces an overall “dense” sound. And the Beats have more reference sound. For many instrumental tracks (rock, metal) Beats might sound boring and hollow. I can’t blame the headphones because such music is usually mastered to sound good on consumer electronics. And you can’t put good “dense” sound into an average stereo system. It will sound too muddy and.. just bad. So they leave the voids between the instruments and try to separate them. But on a reference headphone, this sounds… well… too reference :)Electronic music is a completely different story, this is where Beats shine! Electronic sounds are way more precise. And with Beats, you get this precision (especially in the complicated EDM tracks; I mostly listened to psytrance, psychill, idm, etc. But an average techno/trance sounds good as well). Sennheisers sound fine too, but only until you compare them with Beats.Bass: Sennheiser > Beats. The Beats are precise, again, and so is the bass. If the bass was intended in the music that you listen to – you will hear it. And you will hear exactly as much as it was planned by an artist. Rap songs sound great because of that, as well as some EDM tracks with massive sub-bass. As for the Sennheisers, well, they are v-shaped still so they add a subtle amount of bass to the overall mix, and in most cases, this sounds fine and even fun. It also comes without surprise that in bass-heavy rap songs, it starts to sound too overemphasized. In terms of precision, Sennheisers are not as precise but still hold their ground well against sony/bose/etc.Soundstage: Sennheiser > Beats.Soundstage feels subtly more open on the Sennheisers. Probably this is because they are not as precise and produce more “parasite” harmonics that make instruments sound further from your head. I like this effect but this makes me wonder if it’s possible to achieve a good soundstage for closed headphones without compromising the sound speed and precision.ANC/Transparency: Beats > Sennheiser.Beats are slightly better in noise cancellation and noticeably better in transparency mode. Not as good as AirPods Max, but kinda close. Sennheiser is not bad though, it’s just not as good. Wind can be a problem for both headphones, but I don’t care. Beats are better at blocking fan noise but may overemphasize it in the transparency mode.Mic: Sennheiser >> Beats.Sennheiser microphones are superior both in terms of volume and quality. Beats is really mediocre, on the edge of what I would call “usable” for the zoom meetings. On top of that Beats mic sounds really quiet in Windows 11 rendering itself useless. I hope new firmware/drivers will fix that.Ergonomics: Sennheiser > Beats.I like Sennheiser more. Beats have smaller earcups with stiffer ear cushions. Also, the clamping force on my average-sized head is obnoxiously strong. Not to the point when I feel a headache after wearing them for a few hours but still too much in my opinion. However, I like the fact that Beats are more compact. It makes a difference when I listen to them in bed, for example. They don’t rub as much against the pillow and don’t produce a lot of noise like Sennheisers.Sennheiser ear cups are rotating 180 degrees when on the Beats, they barely move. This is important if you want to move one headphone back to open your ear when you need to listen to somebody or something from the outside world quickly. Or if you’re a DJ and need to hear monitors with one of your ears :). Sennheiser earcups pivot and stay perfectly adjacent to your head, unlike the Beats.Connectivity: Beats > Sennheiser. Both headphones are ok when you’re near the source, but the Beats stay connected longer as I walk away from it. The usable distance is like ~30% longer. They also perform better for a source behind a wire mesh or a security door. I know that Sennheiser is capable of working with 2 devices simultaneously and this works pretty well. Not sure about the Beats but I don’t really care…Controls: Beats >> Sennheiser.Beats are very basic. They don’t even have a head detection. And this feels soo good after the glitchy Sennheisers! You can read more details in other Sennheiser reviews, but they are really bad in that aspect. I bit the bullet and used them as my daily drivers, and oh boy… settings were getting changed randomly, I had tons of fantom head detection events, and when I wanted to put them on or off I almost always accidentally touched the right earcup sensor and triggered something (usually play/pause).

Perfect Balance of Comfort and Sound – A Big Win for My Wife
I bought the Beats Studio Pro for my wife after her struggle to find the perfect pair of over-ear headphones. She loved the sound quality and features of the AirPods Max, but ultimately found them too heavy and uncomfortable for long listening sessions. These, on the other hand, hit the sweet spot.Right out of the box, the Beats Studio Pro feel lightweight but premium. The ear cushions are soft and breathable, and she can wear them for hours without any fatigue or pressure. That alone was a win.As for sound — these deliver. The audio is rich, full, and punchy, with great clarity in the highs and mids, and just enough bass to make music feel immersive without overwhelming the detail. Whether she’s listening to podcasts, streaming shows, or blasting her favorite playlists, the Studio Pro holds its own beautifully.Noise canceling is solid, and the transparency mode is surprisingly natural. The USB-C lossless audio feature is a bonus she didn’t expect but loves when plugged into her laptop for focus work.Overall, these exceeded expectations. For anyone who finds the AirPods Max a bit too bulky but still wants premium Apple-friendly audio with comfort, the Beats Studio Pro are a fantastic alternative.

Great Modern Replacement!
I purchased these headphones to replace an older pair from 2019. I had a great experience with the first pair, so I decided to purchase an updated pair since they were on sale. They are nearly the same size as my previous pair and now features a USB-C port for charging.I am very picky when it comes to headphones as I have large ears and wear glasses. The ear cups cover my ears perfectly and do not press against my ears. They are very durable and seem to be up to par to my previous pair.I’m no audiophile, but I have enjoyed the audio quality these provide using bluetooth with my Apple devices. I read that these headphones have a built-in DAC and can be activated by connecting a USB-C cable to a computer. I did try using the USB-C cable with my Macbook to test lossless and Dolby Atmos with my Apple Music subscription. I can hear subtle differences in quality for some songs, but did not blow me away. I personally think audio quality comes down to encoding, file size, mastering, and the listener’s preference. I find myself resorting back to using bluetooth so I am not tied down with a cable.I also tested the noise cancellation feature. I am honestly not a fan of noise cancellation unless I am traveling by plane and want to tune out crying children. It works as advertised- you can turn it on, off, or use a transparent mode to hear your environment.I do recommend these headphones if you are in the market for a good quality, over the ear headphones. I highly advise that you purchase these when they are on sale as I don’t think they are worth their normal $300 price tag.
