It’s so good choice.
I’ve been using the Arlo Essential Outdoor Camera for a few weeks now, and overall I’m quite happy with it. Setup was quick and easy—it connected to my Wi-Fi without any issues, and the Arlo app is intuitive and easy to use.The video quality is excellent, especially during the day. The 1080p resolution provides clear, detailed video, and the wide field of view covers a large area. The night vision also works surprisingly well—the image remains clear even in complete darkness.One of the best features is the built-in spotlight and siren, which can be activated manually or automatically when motion is detected. This adds an extra layer of security and peace of mind. The two-way audio is another handy feature that allows me to communicate with visitors at the door without having to open it.The motion detection is accurate, although it can be a bit sensitive at times. However, you can adjust the sensitivity and set activity zones to reduce unnecessary alerts.The only downside is that some features, like cloud storage and advanced object detection, require a subscription. But even without it, the camera offers solid performance for basic security needs. A great choice for those looking for a reliable and easy-to-use outdoor camera.

Superior to other popular cameras I have purchased for my home
I have another very popular home security camera brand and compared to that I will say, the Arlo camera was superior.The camera quality is great it captures and NOTIFIES in real time. With my previous camera the notifications were late and lagged, the app didn’t open right away and when I need it to check what’s going on it always fails causing me to just look through the peep hole. The app for this camera has not failed me yet and when I need it to work it does, as requested, every time.The camera lights up at night using a high flashlight, but you can control the brightness on the app as well. You are able to speak into the camera through the app to communicate as well. You can listen and mute also.I stood in front of it with a red shirt and it sent me a possible fire alert which I honestly thought was absolutely amazing and gave me an extra feel of great security I didn’t know I was missing. That is a feature that as a parent, homeowner and just human with a dryer in my home gave me a huge sense of comfort. You do get a free trial to the subscription which is nice to not have to commit right away but instead get a feel and make the decision later. The camera is easy to install as it does come with a stand that you can screw into place in any wall of choice.Great quality at all times and weather.The Arlo home cameras and app are both absolutely reliable and I highly recommend.

Clear Video Quality but Battery Drains Fast with Heavy Use
The video quality on this camera is excellent the 2K resolution makes a big difference compared to standard 1080p, and the night vision with the built-in spotlight works surprisingly well. The motion detection is responsive, and I like being able to talk through the two-way audio. Setup was straightforward, and the camera feels sturdy enough for outdoor use.The main downside is the battery life. If the camera gets triggered constantly by people, animals, or other movement, the battery drains much quicker than expected, especially if it’s not connected to continuous power. It’s manageable, but it does mean you’ll be recharging more often if the camera is in a busy area.Overall, it’s a great security camera with sharp video and helpful features.

Great Outdoor Camera — Easy Setup & Peace of Mind
I installed this Arlo Essential Outdoor Camera on my balcony and it gives me so much peace of mind, especially when I’m home alone with my baby. The picture quality is amazing, and I love that it works day and night. It’s battery-powered, so no complicated wiring. I already had the Arlo doorbell camera and adding this just completed my home security system. Totally worth it!

Love these!
This is a great camera!! I like how far the range is for catching motion, the picture quality is also great! It’s a great value receiving two of them and the battery has been running for a few weeks without needing charged yet! They seem pretty durable but I don’t like that you have to buy something else to swivel or aim them. The way these mount is directly straight forward. The brightness even at night is great, the spotlight is really handy. The talk ability is also useful, I haven’t had to use it for anything major but even just saying talking with your children make it helpful.

I recently purchased the Arlo Essential Security Camera 2K (2nd Gen) and I’m seriously impressed. Right out of the box, it’s sleek, lightweight, and super easy to install. No wires, no stress – I had it mounted and running in under 15 minutes.Picture Quality: The 2K resolution is crystal clear, and the wide-angle lens captures way more than I expected. Whether it’s someone approaching my front door or packages being delivered, the footage is sharp, even when zoomed in.Night Vision: The color night vision is a game-changer. Instead of the usual black-and-white footage, I can clearly see colors and details even in low light, which adds an extra layer of security.Spotlight + Motion Activation: The built-in spotlight turns on with motion, which not only lights up the area but also acts as a deterrent. I love getting real-time notifications when motion is detected – I can check what’s going on from anywhere.Two-Way Audio: This is one of my favorite features! Awesome but..
Amazing this is my first time having Arlo products and set up was super easy. It’s simple to install quality is amazing for a 2K. Definitely would want to add more in the future. These being wireless you do need to charge them. So I would place them that’s accessible to an extent. Update after further inspection:Pros great quality and features, it does have a learning curve at the beginning. I’m still firm on a few things mentioned above BUT here are my cons sadly.1. It’s delay on notice for some reason it takes a moment to buffer and load content or notify. Just a minute or two, this may be an inconvenience for many. I have decent wifi so I know that’s not the issue here.2. Battery life, these were fully charged and mount at 100%. Overnight looking at maybe 12-13 hrs now I’m at 89% isn’t super crazy but makes me wonder if long term it’s worth it. Unless you order an additional solar panel accessory may be the trick if possible.3. Sadly the subscription- this is a downfall for what these cameras are for. The purpose is to notify and to provide at most some recordings. Seems to be that you need to subscribe & that’s PER cam or get a subscription for unlimited cameras for all the basics.These cameras are good and amazing details than my previous camera I had but unfortunately won’t be paying for any subscriptions. 😩

Good, but no swivel mounts included
This is the second set of Arlo cameras we have installed. They work well, pair well with my iPhone, have a good phone app, have good resolution and are easy to install and use, with one exception. My first set came with swivel mounts. This set did not. The mounts are fixed which greatly limits where they can be mounted and the field of view. I ordered a set of swivel mounts which delayed installation by a day. My advice to the vendor is raise the price a little but include swivel mounts as swivel mounts are almost always required for use

Pretty nice set!
So far I really like this camera set. It’s easy to setup and easy to use. It has a ton of options to customize your settings for your own personal uses. I like the option to have a light turn on when it detects someone or turn it off. You get the camera fully charged so right away we were able to get going and figure out placement. It holds a good connection to the WiFi even through plaster walls. There is a lag time which fluctuated for us between being not bad to really bad but I’m not sure if that’s the cameras fault or my wifi. This camera has a lot of great amenities to it, only downside is you only get a straight on view wherever you install the camera. You can’t angle it downwards or swivel it at all as the base you attach it to the wall with has no movement to it. I need the ability to change its viewing angle so I bought an extra piece that allows me to do so. You do get a free trial when you start up for their security features but it didn’t tell me how long for or how much it would cost once the trial ended. It has the ability to send emergency services to your house if you signal it to which is so convenient. You also get a sticker to place in your window to warn p

Good but no SD Card slot
This is my first time having cameras. We are using our outdoors and they work well so far. I am disappointed that there is no soot for an SD card, which makes you completely reliant on the app for your video feed. After the first month or so, you can no longer get free live feed anytime. It will only alert when there is movement detected. Easy installation.
