Great little streamer for any TV
This Roku Streaming Stick HD 2025 was extremely easy to set up and had me watching my favorite apps in just a few minutes. The HD picture looks crisp and smooth, and streaming is fast with very little buffering. The voice remote works really well for finding shows quickly, and having so much free and live TV in one place is a huge bonus. The compact stick hides neatly behind the TV and is perfect for any room or even travel. Excellent performance and value – highly recommend!

Tiny streaming stick with big live TV options
I bought this to turn a basic TV into a simple streaming setup without adding a lot of hardware. I wanted quick access to the apps I actually watch and a few channels without paying for a separate box. The promise of tons of free live TV and an easy-to-use interface made it appealing, and setup looked straightforward from the description.Using it is the easy part. I plugged the stick into an HDMI port, powered it from the TV’s USB, and the on-screen steps had me connected to Wi-Fi in minutes. The home screen is clean, and the voice remote makes it easy to search for shows or switch apps without hunting through menus. A single remote handles just about everything, including turning the TV on and adjusting the volume. What surprised me most is the free live TV lineup. There are more channels than I expected, and I actually find myself leaving it on for long stretches while cooking or cleaning. The option to listen with Bluetooth headphones is a nice touch when I want quiet in the evening, and it all feels flexible enough to tailor to different viewing moments.A small note: it’s HD streaming, so there’s no 4K image, and some apps can feel a touch slow to load if the Wi-Fi signal is weak. But for the price and the simplicity, it does exactly what I wanted and more. Overall, I’m happy with how compact, easy to use, and reliable this setup is.

Roku provides a lot of entertainment for free and may increase speed of your tv
Package came well packed and undamaged. The packaging of the box and items inside were new, clean and definitely not refurbished. I did appreciate them coming with batteries already inside that you could just remove a tab and it was ready to go.The trick is to plug in and then run the cord to a usb power source. Our TV had a usb already as well, so it was easy. Once turning on, the device itself recognized the make and model of the tv very quickly and automatically took us to setup. Once I input the network information, it immediately began downloading the right information for our tv and made the remote completely compatible with the tv. This means the power, volume, and channel buttons worked perfectly. It can replace your other remote.Roku itself has a ton of channels and offers a great value even if you don’t subscribe to premium channels. The free channels, free movies and shows all provide a lot of value for the money that you don’t have to pay a monthly subscription for.The device itself runs fast! It actually ran faster than our original tv which frankly is a little old, but it has a larger screen and good picture so I was hesitant to replace it. But for less than 50 bucks, it was almost like a new TV. This is a very high value if your tv doesn’t already have Roku built in.

Perfect solution for older TVs who’ve lost Roku app access.
This works amazing! The platform of my 10+ yr old Vizio smart TV no longer supported the old Roku app and wasn’t able to update, so we lost all access to the apps we had through Roku. We were facing either buy a new TV, or figure out another way for access. -This updated Roku streaming stick not only was easy to set up, -but the upgrade had things the last one didn’t. -The remote can be voice controlled, -just say the app you want, -and wha-la! No searching! I’d buy it again and highly recommend!

Works Well
I wasn’t really familiar with streaming sticks, but after reading reviews, this seemed like the one to get. The price was reasonable, and it seemed easy to set up. I was worried that it wouldn’t carry all the apps I wanted (some are more obscure), but to my delight, I found I could download everything I wanted. The picture quality is good with no buffering. It also supports mirror casting, making my Microsoft Wireless Adapter unnecessary. It has turned my older “dumb” TV into a smart TV. If I had one quibble, it would be that the shortcut buttons on the remote are dedicated to specific services instead of being programmable for the services of my choice.

Roku works perfect on Fire TV. A must have.
Greatest purchase due my Fire TV. The Fire TV with built in fire stick is trash. So much bloatware, ads, apps crash all the time. Just try to get Paramount to run an hour straight with out crashing. It try loading Pluto TV with have to reload it 4 out 5 times before you can do anything. Plug in the Roku and make a few adjustments to your setting and now Right is the default streaming device. Controls the TV, works with Alexa. No crashes, Just a clean user friendly interface. Simple to use. Got one for my 78 yo mom who just couldn’t handle the fire TV interface. Best purchase of you have a dumb TV or a fire TV, or and TV with it’s own smart menus. Vizio,Samsung, anything that has it’s own apps. Roku is the cleanest simplest option out there.

Good and inexpensive way to convert your dumb TV!
Turned my dumb Sony flat screen into a SMART TV in seconds! Easy to set up and it also lets me use external bluetooth speakers, bluetooth headphones and use “Smart View” from my phone or tablet. The remote control is simple and has a surprisingly good ‘voice’ feature. I’m really late to this ‘streaming device’ party but very glad that I finally arrived!

Roku Stick saved my “out of memory” Fire TV!
I bought this Roku stick to rescue my 5-year-old Insignia Fire TV that constantly ran out of storage. I was getting “low memory” warnings nonstop, even after deleting apps and clearing space.Plugged in the Roku stick, set it up in minutes, and boom — everything works flawlessly. The interface is clean, fast, and setting up was easy and painless. It gave my old TV a second life!If your Fire TV is struggling with memory issues, this little stick is a total game-changer.

Roku is the best streaming device by far.
We have several different iterations of Roku devices but I had not purchased the “Stick” version for fear that they would perform similar to my first FireStick which had slow menu navigation and loading on top of poor Wifi signal. Despite this and due to the discontinuation of Express version I purchased our first Roku Stick and was pleasantly surprised. The menu navigation is no different or slower than using the more expensive Rokus like the Ultra and Express. The remote no longer has a 3.5mm audio jack for headphones nor does the stick itself have bluetooth capabilities however this isn’t an issue for us as the Roku app allows you to use your phone to stream the audio to whatever listening devices you want as long as the Roku Stick and your phone are connected to the same network. We haven’t had any issues with the Wifi speed even in the room furthest away from the primary router where previously our FireStick struggled. Its very possible the newer FireSticks have better Wifi as our FireStick was an early version. The Roku stick also does not support AirPlay so if you like the idea of streaming photos videos from your iPhone you might wanna spring for the more expensive version (my wife enjoys this feature). Outside these differences the experience is virtually identical to the more expensive devices.General Review of Roku ecosystem:Full disclosure my first experience with Amazons streaming devices and ecosystem are from the early days of FireSticks but we do use the Amazon app on our Roku currently. I do favor Roku’s devices and ecosystem overall.Roku requires a credit card upon device account setup however no charges are made unless you want to subscribe to a service or purchase content. Accounts contain information on all the devices, locations(for example:Roku Ultra:Office, Roku Express: Family Room, etc). Remotes when paired with the device are interchangeable between devices. When my kids loose the front room remote for our Ultra we just go grab the family room remote until we remember there is a remote locator feature which makes the remote itself ring so you can locate it.(not all devices?) Settings and controls features are pretty intuitive and allow you to customize your experience in a way I don’t recall on Amazon devices.Roku offers free content in the form of live streaming channels(usually with ads) and recognizable movies and shows on both their Roku Channel as well as their Roku kids channels. The interface allows you to customize your home screen channels/features. Roku feels like they want you to setup your environment as you like where Amazon feels geared towards selling you their movies and services. The fish tank screen saver doesn’t have ads and I don’t recall them being part of the city side scroller screen saver either. It just feels like less of a commercial ecosystem then Amazons in my opinion. The Roku app is absolutely amazing. It allows you to watch the same content as your devices so sometimes I will watch my favorite shows on my phone in bed, no additional apps required. It also acts as a remote for any of the Roku devices. The baked in streaming audio feature is a huge plus for me. I will sometimes watch a show on a TV but want to do chores throughout the rest of the house. I start the show, turn on the app, route the audio through my phone and listen to the show on my Bluetooth headphones while moving throughout the house. I rarely download apps of this nature but the features of the Roku app are absolutely one of the best features of the Roku ecosystem.Roku support was very helpful when one of my devices failed to update making the unit non functional. A phone call with support had them try to trouble shoot the unit before deeming the issue unresolved and they immediately sent me a brand new replacement. No RMA garbage, just a quick and painless warranty replacement.I am very happy with all my Roku devices, ecosystem and Roku brand and will continue to support them and recommend them to friends and family.

Do not believe that all that glitters is gold (like these 5 stars).
Omission of facts does not mean truth in advertising. Imagine my surprise when I find out that I need an adapter to possibly make this work. If you don’t have a newer tv and the correct usb port on the tv. You better have an adapter, and an adapter that fits. If you have an older tv you’re well, not in good graces with the ROKU god. I spent 30 years in IT, back when you didn’t dare tell someone something is apples when they are oranges, end users would let you know if you were misleading to your face. Now, like social media, there is no personal touch when it comes to complaint.Which brings me to customer service at ROKU. When the previous Roku device failed I naively believed in helpful helpers. After an hour long session with a customer service agent who gave no solution (asking me over about device model and my troubleshooting finishing by leaving me on hold to the next level then hanging up with me still connected), I started researching other ROKU devices to replace (loyalty to a brand is definitely overrated). I advise any who would consider purchasing any of this type of advice to check them out (alway check one star ratings not all are sour grapes). According to many of those that were 1 star I read customer service was BAD. In fact even the question I asked the internet about customer service replied their customer service was, to paraphrase it diplomatically, PROBLEMATIC.But still I took a chance (better lottery tickets they are cheaper) and I received a product without the above mentioned caveat, so I will shout a heads up. NO, I will not go to customer service on the newly purchased product – better playing chicken with a train. Now, i either search for an adapter that fits or better yet return it (heaven knows what would be next) and go to a fire stick. I read reviews complaining of all the advertising by that product but AT LEAST you might get to the content and perhaps not an hour long useless conservation going no where.Sure give me the old mea culpa for being a senior, disabled, poor, and naive. They used to say never trust anyone over 30. Well I say beware what you buy, from even a “respected company,” because when they base product advertising on sizzle not steak, they assume on way too much, and we all know what assume means – but they get to rake in the cash from assumptions and a lot of consumers get the short end of the stick.
