This is an amazing vacuum!! Quality, tons of features, great results!
Love RoboRock vacs. This Qrevo CurvX is amazing. Finally able to get under places I wasn’t able to get to previously. Mapping and related features make this an excellent choice- add to this the floor cleaning results and simplified auto dock cleaning and it’s a winner! I’ve owned multiple robovacs including Roomba and ecovacs. This one beats them all easily. I have a robovac S8+ upstairs (mostly carpet and this one downstairs (mostly hard flooring). Both are amazing ! I also still have my original s5 max which still works.

The robot vacuum I always wanted
This is the robot vacuum I wanted when I bought rombas years ago. The older rombas just moved around randomly and were loud and got stuck a lot and didn’t mop. This fixes all those issues. That said, there is a learning curve to using the app and you’ll need to spend some time with it to get it working exactly how you want. But after you do, it is a great little helper. My only complaint is the price, but I’m not knocking a star off for that because you all see that before you buy it. And even though the price is high, it’s a one time expense and the robot should last long enough to make that feel more reasonable. Actually the price was only a concern for me before I had it. After I’ve had this for a few weeks now and I have it clean the entire house every day, I no longer thing it’s over priced. It does a really good job, and I love seeing vacuum lines on the carpet in the living room every day when I wake up, and I love that the kitchen tile and hardwoods are mopped and clean. Can I live without it? Sure I can, but I prefer having it, it makes a difference to always have a clean home.I have mine run two cycles per day, while I sleep I have it do the half of the house that people may see, and then I have it clean the bedrooms on the other side of the house after I’m awake and the battery is recharged. Luckily I don’t have stairs so don’t have to physically move it between floors or own a second one.The one thing I’m finding fault with it after owning it for a long time, is that about half my house is carpet and the other half some form of floor that needs mopped. And having this run every day, pretty much means needing to empty out dirty water and refill clean water manually every day. That’s a very small task compared to cleaning myself, but I hope in the future when I build a new home they have an option to connect this to a water line and a drain and I can have a special robot area for it’s home like a dog house for the robot and it can automatically empty and add fresh water on it’s own with a large gallon dispenser for floor cleaning solution to automatically add that too. But this doesn’t have that, so I just have to add water myself every day. I think in the future I’ll back off the cleaning to only have it clean the parts of the house it needs water maybe just twice a week, and then maybe I will only have to refill it once a week. But in the meantime while it’s new I’m enjoying having it clean every day. I’m hoping that eventually it’ll be so clean that there won’t be much dirt to pick up and then when I see the dirty water is pretty much clean water, I can back off to only cleaning a few times a week instead of every day.

Exceptional Performance! It works!
Let me start by saying I have purchased no less than 5 robot vacuums over the years and every single one led to disappointment in their operation, performance, and/or features. So my expectations weren’t the highest, but I was hoping the S7 was worth the hefty price and wouldn’t be a another dud.The Roborock S7 was by far the most expensive robot vacuum I’ve ever purchased. I never went over $350.00 with my previous robot buys. But after reading reviews and specs of the S7 and comparing it to countless other vacuums for months and debating with myself about buying the S7, I felt I had researched enough and went ahead and gave it a go. Wow! I am so glad I decided on this particular robot vacuum!**************The vacuum:The suction is great and the carpet boost really helps pick up dog hair from my three large dogs that are constantly shedding around the house and on the living room rug they like to sleep on. It’s actually pretty unbelievable how well it picks up dog hair and dust/dirt off my rugs, tile, and hardwood flooring that the dogs bring in all day. I love how it is able to get under my beds, most furniture and two couches. I neglect those areas pretty frequently, so it’s nice to not worry about dog hair and dust piling up under them. The S7 is amazing when it comes to vacuuming. It is seriously efficient, you can see where and what room the robot is in via the app and the progress it is making, and they battery life while running is fantastic. Speaking of the app, It is wonderful and easy to use – I love how you can send the robot to vacuum different rooms or certain spots in the house as well as the number of times you want it to pass over the selected room/area.The no go areas and invisible wall functions work perfectly. I’ve had no issues at all setting them up and the S7 recognizes them every time.I’ve had no issues with the robot getting hung up or stuck on something while running. It’s the first robot I’ve had that didn’t need full time babysitting while it was vacuuming. The navigation and mapping of my house are both exceptional. It still runs into certain things but is able to recognize and move around the object. As soon as it has finished cleaning, the S7 will return to the base and empty itself in its bin (if you purchased the auto empty base) and start charging itself.—— Vacuum CONs:As far as my personal observations go, I can only note one con and that’s with the bags for the the auto empty dock. I wish the bags were washable and reusable. I get that the current bags are sealed and keep the dust/debris inside the bag and out of the air and off the floors, but a reusable bag would be great for some buyers who try to keep unnecessary waste to a minimum. For some, the sealed bags wouldn’t be an issue at all and could possibly be a pro. But for me, it’s a small annoyance.**************The mop:I love that you don’t have to switch out attachments between mopping and vacuuming. The S7 can mop and vacuum at the same time, which is so convenient.Mop CONS:—— You can only use water in the mop tank, which I know some buyers didn’t like because it doesn’t sanitize the floors at all. My work around is using electrolyzed water, which is as effective as bleach at killing germs. Google force of nature cleaner if you want to use water in the mop to sanitize. I’ve had no issues using electrolyzed water and it makes the house smell clean and deodorized.—— without a doubt you will still need to mop your house. The S7 is great for in-between mopping days. When it rains, my dogs track mud in onto my tile floors. The mop function isn’t going to get the mud up well enough. It will get some up, but not enough to be satisfied with the result. But it does great for very light mopping jobs and mopping under most furniture so you don’t need to move things around to mop underneath.***************Bottom Line:Seriously, I can not recommend the Roborock S7 enough. I would buy it again in a heartbeat. While it was the priciest robot vacuum I’ve ever purchased by a long shot, I’m so glad that, for me at least, it was worth getting over the price sticker shock. It performs fantastic when it comes to vacuuming and the mop function is great for light mopping between good old fashioned bucket and mop cleanings. The S7 gets a rating of 4.7/5 from me. It exceeded my expectations by a miles!

This product doesnt work like claimed
The media could not be loaded.
The product unboxing was super easy. The quality of the produck felt like it was well made. The docking base had a thick cord to charge the init as well as two decently sized tanks for new mop solution as well as old. EmptyingThe dust bin to the dock sound like a Boeing 747 was taking off in my living room. The vacuume itself is basically a joke. Somehow, this vacuum is able to go directly over hair or lint, or anything really and still manage to not pick it up regardless of what this suction level is on (1,2,3). However, it will manage to get a cell phone charging cord wrapped around the beater bar just enough to ruin the cord. It gets stuck going over transition strips, it gets stuck going under things. There is absolutely, nothing smart about this product. There’s no A.I. There’s no programming that I can see, it just seems that there is a g p s and a terrible map. Seems to me this product is not nearly ready for consumer use. I have no idea how this company thinks this is a product that has a value at all. It seems to me r&d has much more work to do. Let me put it to you this way. It does such a lousy job, (job being its entire reason for being) that I would not use this product if the company paid me $25 a month to do so. It’s a waste of time. It ruins things, its loud, it can go over a spot multiple times and never clean the spot, it just pushes things around. At the end of the day it is a net negative. My sister has had a different brand robot vacuume for a couple of years and it does a great job. But this one isnt there. Happy shopping!

Excellent machine, easy maintenance.
We’ve had the S7 now for 13 months and it continues to run strong. The Roborock replaced a Euffy 11S whiich was a decent entry level robot vac for the money. We have 2 Ragdoll cats and a short-haired, 30 lb dog. The house is a single-floor ranch at 2200 sq ft., and hardwood floors throughout except for the bathrooms with a few area carpets. This robot can easily finish the entire house when vacuuming on a single charge in about 2 hours. When vacuuming and mopping we get about 2 hours and the robot has to dock to recharge and finish the last room after a recharge. We mop the house typically 2 or 3 times a week. We have several extra mop heads and we clean them in the washer so we always start mopping with a clean mop. The rubber brushless beater works great for us. I only have to clean the machine once a week and we vacuum every day. This beater bar makes sense for us since we have hardwood floors througout the house. With the Euffy and the traditional beater bar, we had to cut the long cat hair tangled in the bar after every use. The LIDAR navigation on the robot is excellent. It covers the every square inch of the house every time. Now for just a couple of cons: We replaced an area rug that had a dark border. The vacuum thinks it’s going of a cliff so it will avoid it. This seems to be an issue with all robots that have these sensors under the vacuum. This was a problem with the Eufy as well. It was worth it for us to replace the carpet since the vacuum makes our lives so much easier. We prefer this beater bar since the Ragdoll cat hair doesn’t tangle around it, but it doesn’t pull that hair out as well as a traditional beater bar. So we use a traditional corded vacuum for the area carpets once a week. I think we would do that either way since I don’t believe any robot could truly lift all the cat hair out of our area rugs. So if you have more carpet than hard surfaces maybe look for a different model. Also if you have white area rugs the mop once dirty will make the edges of the carpet dirty also. Our solution for this is to place our white shower mat over the edge of the tub when we’re not using it to keep it from getting mopped. The bottom line is we love this robot. It keeps our floors looking clean and the pet hair under control. We also added the auto-empty dock and that works awesome as well. We purchased one for our son and have recommended it to family and friends.

Great on everything except our black rug
After reading many reviews, we decided to give the S7 a try. Our only open question was if it could handle black rugs with conflicting reports in the reviews and Q&A. As is often the case with humans on the internet, most people who claimed it could handle black rugs did so with no agency on the matter. I should have assumed this when many wrote “Yes, it cleans all rugs” seemingly missing an understanding of the nature of the question on the technical implementation of the feature set. As with almost all robot vacs, the IR sensors that detect a drop-off, like stairs or a terrace, are fooled by a black rug thinking it is about to fall off a cliff. My suggestion if Roborock is reading this… You have the ability to set “No-Go Zones”. Please flip this feature and let us mark areas as “Safe Zones” as well. This could be used to mark a black rug as safe preventing it from viewing false positives from the IR sensor as a cliff while in these areas.Other than that, after about a month in, it is great. Setup was super easy and the app is well designed. I had no problems acclimating to it. Battery life is good too, though on the stronger settings, it needs a breather (about 5 hours) to recharge when attempting to vacuum and mop our 2,000 sqft home. When just vacuuming, it can handle the entire house handily with 40% leftover so I think the pump and scrubbing feature must do a number on the battery. Suggestion 2… if it already knows how much of the house is left to clean and can estimate how much power is needed, please let it charge just enough to get the job done and get back to the dock. This would speed up the process considerably, in our home, it only has one or two small rooms to get through and could probably resume in an hour vs. waiting for a complete charge.Navigation is otherwise really smart. It only had one issue and though I was out of the home when it got lost once, I was able to coax it back to the dock. It got confused about which room it was in but the second time I ordered to the dock and it did its “positioning dance”, it figured out where it was and charted a path home.I haven’t played with the scheduling feature yet but the integration with google home is pretty good. You can have google assistant start it on either the whole house or a specific room (assuming you’ve named them in the app). The Mop feature does a really good job, though buy some extra pads as it does only get two or three runs before it is ready for the washer. It does a good job of picking up the pad when over rugs so as not to make them dirtier. If you are home, I recommend wetting the mop before you being as it does a better job this way.Overall, this is the best robot vac I’ve ever had and highly recommend it.

Believe the reviews in this case they are right
I had a Roomba but the mopping was streaking and too wet. So, I bought a Narwhal, that went back in no time at all it had a poor mapping system and dripped water constantly. So I tried another newer Roomba, almost as bad as Narwhal. Finally I discovered Roborock, It is the best! Maps beautifully, mops without streaking and leaking, vacuumes very well. Fits under baseboards even mops the wood border where my rug ends. I LOVE it, finally found the right one!

FAR Exceeded My Expectations!
Previously I had another robot vac mop hybrid that was underwhelming to say the least and I spent close to $1300 on that unit. When it began making more of a mess than cleaning, I threw it in the bin and began looking for an actual replacement. After reading lots of reviews and watching numerous YouTube videos, I came up with the Roborock Qrevo CurvX as my top choice. I had very specific criteria for the beyond demanding environment this robot would be tasked with cleaning. First and foremost, I needed the best vacuum for pets and, in particular, a long hair German Shepherd that sheds fluffy tufts of hair off her hind quarters like leaves falling from the trees in autumn. Her hair has been a particularly challenging thing for all my robot vacs. Given that we acquire what I call “hair tumbleweeds” if one single day is skipped, I knew I was already asking a lot out of a robot vacuum. However, given the coarse nature of part of her top coat and the downy like wool from some of her undercoat, I also needed a vacuum that wasn’t going to continually suffer from tangled main brush errors. Every other robot we’ve owned has wound up either strangling itself and its main brush with this hair or been unable to empty the dust bin regularly enough to prevent hair clumps from being left behind throughout the house. The last robot would leave what looked like dreadlocks of dog hair all over. It was gross. So my top 2 criteria: best robot vac for pets (a GSD was used in the Google search) and best robot for anti-tangle brush rollers.I am not going to lie. My expectations for the Roborock were pretty low and I was skeptical of the whole hybrid vac/mop robot design. It took one use over one day to convince me otherwise! The robot arrived and the set up was easy to follow, much like the previous robot vac mop unit I had. I got everything charged and powered on and ready to go for the next day. I scheduled the unit to run at 8:00 am and clean the entire house using the vac and mop setting. I put everything at max because our house had been days without a robot running at that point so I really expected to get error messages while at work. When I walked through the front door, I could immediately tell a difference in the air quality. The air actually felt clean and the floors were spotless. Areas where our previous robot would miss, like hair that congregated in corners, were clean and without dirt, dust or hair. Since I added robot floor cleaning solution to the water tank, the floors in the house had a light, fresh scent. A quick walk through the house found every room had been cleaned thoroughly and I was stunned. Next, I decided to go inspect the robot to see how much hair was wound around the main brush. Again…I was stunned! The underside of the robot was clean as a whistle! There was no hair in the main brush at all. In fact, there was no hair around the large wheels on the side, the roller wheel at the front of the unit, or the sweeper brush. None! My last robot would always have hair tangled in all these spots and the dust bin would always be full even though the robot was supposed to empty the dustbin at the end of the cleaning session. This led me to the next huge surprise – the mop pads. They were bone dry, clean, and smelled fresh. I could not actually believe it and yes…I actually took the pad off the robot and smelled it to see if it smelled remotely musty or dirty. It was clean and dry. Given the first run was a success, I decided to wait and see how the robot did one week later. It has now been about two weeks since we had the CurvX and the robot has run every single day with the exact same results. It is quite simply, the best performing robot I have ever had (and I was an early adopter in the robot vacuum world).Mapping – It mapped my home with 95% accuracy in the first run. In the second run, the map was 100% correct. It was also super easy to label the rooms in the map. 10 out of 10.Obstacle Avoidance/Cords – Some online reviews on YT complained about the robot getting stuck on cables and cords. Like any robot, there is an expected amount of tidying up before it runs that should be expected. That being said, the obstacle avoidance has been phenomenal and I’ve had it encounter serval power cords for lamps, TV equipment, routers, etc. and it has never once even run them over. Instead it takes a picture and shows their location on the map after it’s completed its job. 10 out of 10.Vacuuming – We have either hardwood or tile in our home, but there are several large rugs in various locations and the previous robot left lots of long German Shepherd hairs in those rugs. I could take my foot and rub it across the rug and pile up a clump of hair easily. That is not the case with this robot. It cleans the rugs impeccably! Of course the hardwood is as easy as it gets, but the recognition to raise the mops when it encounters rugs has worked flawlessly and the robot has not made our rugs wet at all. The floors feel clean after this robot runs and that’s probably because they are clean! This robot also goes to empty its dust bin with a great deal or regularity! 10 out of 10.Mopping – Using the Smart AI feature has been a neat thing for this robot. It will detect where it encounters dirty areas whether that be in vacuuming or mopping, but it will elect to return to clean those areas again. In some spots, the robot has gone back two additional times to mop until it was satisfied it had cleaned the area well. Amazing! The floors get mopped well and the amount of water used, if not using the Smart AI, is easily adjustable through the app. One of the best features is that the mop pads are cleaned with HOT water and they are dried for 3 hours. The mops are also cleaned multiple times during any given session. I does not mop your home with nasty pads. 10 out of 10.Roborocks App and Ease of Use – the app is extremely easy to use but also full of so many customizable features. There is a bit of a learning Curv (pun intended) for anyone who might be new to the robot vacuum world. However, it is quite easy to intuit and navigate even for beginners. My last robot had no way to send the unit back to the dock to empty the bin if I wanted to. I can do that with the CurvX and more. 10 out of 10.Battery Life – This is the only spot where the robot struggles. It will take a VERY long time for the unit to clean my home. Sometimes the robot has to return to the base to charge twice before the job is complete. That being said, it’s a trade off I’m willing to make for the level of cleanliness I get from the robot. I set it to run when I’m at work and it may start at 8 am and not finish until 2:30pm with charging times in between. I’d much rather have the robot take it’s time and do a thorough job that exceeds my expectations as opposed to my previous robot that cleaned everything with one charge in about 2.5 hours only to leave me with more work to do when I got home. I wish it had a more robot battery and longer life because it does take it a considerable amount of time to charge. That being said, it’s worth it, in my opinion. There may be other robots that clean just as well and can do so without having to charge so frequently. Just understand if you need something that will get the job done quickly and thoroughly, this is not your bot. 6 out of 10.Fit In Tight Spots – This robot has a unique feature – the Lidar unit on the top of the robot will lower to give it access to go under tight spaces. Even though my last robot had more than enough clearance, it would not go under our bathroom vanities or living room couch. That’s not the case with the Roborocks. It even vacuums under our Wolf Range/Stove. If this unit will fit, it will go there. My son remarked that he’s seen this robot go in places the other one did not and he’s absolutely right. This little guy is downright intrepid! 10 out of 10.Sturdiness/Build Quality – everything about the Roborocks has been designed with ergonomics, function, and quality in mind. Everything feels sturdy and well-made. The design of the rollers is ingenious because the two part main brush definitely keeps hairs from tangling. Everything feels solid and well made with this unit. I have no qualms about the price I paid for this. It has been worth every penny.Overall Rating – 9.8 out of 10. The only points lost are due to battery life, but taking everything else into consideration, this robot has exceeded every expectation I had for it’s performance. It has been a trooper every single day since I got it. With proper maintenance and care, I hope to keep this little guy running for several years. If you are considering a robot vacuum, which I assume you are if you read this review, this is the one to get. I have an environment that would stop and has stopped all other robot vacs in their tracks – not the CurvX. It acts like GSD constant shedding is no big deal and for a vacuum with this much power and the anti-tangle designed brushes – it isn’t a big deal. It just keeps on working. I love this little vacuum!

Best hardwood floor Robovac but…
LIDAR:I personally prefer LIDAR to SLAM or other camera systems. Robo-vacumms with cameras are nice, but they need light to work. I feel it’s better for privacy, and the vacuum can function at night or in any environment without a light source.Navigation:For one, in my opinion, S7 has one of the best navigation software and hardware. I have various models from other brands including iRobot and this robot is the most effective on time and coverage. The rubber Roll:The implementation of a new rubber roller with a modular cage. Roborock was doing a great job minimizing hair or fur tangles, but now it really feels like one of the best. The new modular design maximizes a seal on hardwood floor, which gets more dirt with less power and passes.Cleaning pattern:The crisscross cleaning pattern is great. Not sure why it’s not the standard or why it wasn’t applied in earlier versions, but this cleaning pattern does make a difference with the vacuuming and the mopping.Doing 2 or more passes was nice, but this crisscross works! It picks up small debris flung or disturbed by the side brush during the first pass. The Mop:The vibrating mop works!! It eliminates spot or stains that other combo-robovacs or dedicated robomops cannot BUT it doesn’t work as advertised or implied, i.e. as a stand-alone unit. But When the mop-cloth is MANUALLY soaked, it will perform as long as it remains saturated with water…Carpet Auto-Detect:Auto rise works, but not relevant for medium lengths pile or loose rugs/carpets.The good news is the detection works very well, so use this avoids those areas if you have a wet mop or if the side brush gets tangled.I will address my carpet issues in the CON section.Automation:You can schedule the Roborock for specific rooms, or power settings, and times. But again there were promises made that still need to be fulfilled – see my CON list.CONS:Most important con for some:This vacuum is THE BEST for wooden or other flat surface without carpet or rugs. If your home has a lot of carpets or rugs, you should seriously consider an alternative option. I have a favorite for carpets and rugs, but back to the S7:Because of the feed and brush design, I would NOT recommend this robot for homes that have mostly rugs or carpets. This RoboVacum performs best with wooden floors or other surfaces where is can establish a suction seal. The second most problematic issue:The mopping features do not work as advertised. It’s a gift and a curse.Let me explain: The gift – The vibrating technology is great!! When wet, the mopping works! BUT, the mop-cloth must be MANUALLY soaked for best results. Do not expect to fill the tank and for the mop to work for multiple days or until empty. It will get the job in small or medium-sized rooms, but large rooms will need human assistance, you’ll have to re-soak the mop-cloth because the water tank does essentially nothing.Tank water flow into the mop-cloth consists of ONE drip every few feet. It’s not an even distribution or spread on the mop-cloth. This can be easily seen if you have a dry mop-cloth; if you run it dry with the cloth you will easily see the single wet point, for those who do not have a Roborock S7 see this video to see what water distribution looks like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SXm2nc6dDS8The mop will not work when damp or dry.So this is NOT a system you can fill the water tank, sit it on the dock and assume the mopping will work – IT WON’T! The Mopping REQUIRES manual assistance. Still, it’s better than any combo-robovacums and most mopping (including Roombas and Braavas imo). The new Braava just streaks imo.Automation needs software updates to provide promised feature:It was advertised as a Roborock that will be able to perform multiple passes from the Schedule-Menu. This is not true. If you want your Roborock S7 to perform multiple passes in some or all rooms, YOU will have to do so manually in the app. This is not something that can be done via the Schedule-Menu as of 2022-03-22.Bin design is SMALL: if you have the auto-empty base it will not matter, but if you buy this as a stand-alone unit you will notice the need to empty it. Also, the design is not ideal – it could have been easier, not a huge issue but still an issue when the vacuum runs multiple times a day.Still, with all these cons, this is still one of the best in the premium robovac category.I sincerely hope Roborock works on the scheduling updates and that in the future Roborock models they work on the water tanks and even water distribution. Until then I’ll have to wet the mop-cloth right before each mopping job.

Great bot, just wish it’s less expensive
Great vacuum/mop again from Roborock. I’m sold on their quality (navigation, mopping, cleaning). The only reason for 4 stars is the price. I wish it is less expensive.Use it for 2 floors (kitchen and basement hardwood floors). It’s very heavy to carry it up/down. It’s not good for this use.
