I just received this and am pleased to have something other than a plastic-type board. I have been concerned about how much of the cutting board material is going into the food I cut because the cutting leaves clear indentations, which tells me it is digging into the material, likely in trace amounts, and going into the food.This cutting board is a very good size, I have included a picture with a pair of shears and a medium sizes serrated know for a size comparison. The board has two different surfaces, meat & nonmeat. Not having to have two separate boards is a space saver and convenient. I haven’t used it but it looks very promising. The four stars are because I have not used the board; I will revise it when I have tested it out.

I waited a bit before writing this review. I wanted to use it so I could be honest. I had been reading about the bacteria that forms in the wooden cutting boards no matter how well you cleaned them. Yuck! This board is not only functional, it is durable. I have cut on both sides and there are no knife marks! The stainless steel is sturdy. It stays in place when cutting as well. Attractive enough to leave out and display but I store mine. Perfect size. And now I feel safe using my cutting boards as the non porous surface prevents the absorption of bacteria. You will not regret this purchase
