I order the lights on Sept 3,2025 and they arrived the next day. Everything that was supposed to be in the box was in the box. No missing parts. I started putting the lights up that day and it was simple. I made a cut to extend the lights to my roof top. The bottom splice was easy as I was on the ground. The top splice was a little tricky as it had to be done on an extended ladder. I ran the lights along the roof soffit and stopped for the night. I turned on the lights and everything worked fine. Setting up the app on an iPhone was a little tricky but not overwhelming.The next day I continued with the lights and made a top splice again on a ladder, to bring the lights back to the lower level, where I made the second splice. I finished running the lights to the end. I plugged in the power supply and no lights. I checked the control box thinking I forgot to turn on the lights and found it to be very hot to the touch. I unplugged the power supply. I checked my spices again and found some of the wires had twisted together. I corrected the splices and plugged the power in. The lights did not work but the control box was no longer getting hot.I called the support number to Govee and spoke with a representative. She gave me information to email Govee support and explain my situation. I did that and inquired if the was anywhere I could buy a new control box. I was told that at this time the parts are only available through Govee support. They told me they would send me a new control box and power supply. After five days Govee asked me to write a review. I explained that I had not received the parts yet. I received another email stating there was a mixup and my parts were not sent out but they would resend them. This was on Sept. 16th. I received the parts today Sept. 23rd and hooked up the power supply and control box and all is well. All lights are working and I figured out the app to make the lights do what I want them to do.I gave Govee a 5 star review which I think is well deserved. They stood behind their product and made it right for me at no cost to myself I should add. Thank you to everyone at the support team.Jim ConnorGovee Pro 100’H706A

They’re pricey that’s for sure, but I think they will be worth it. I hate heights, so not having to climb up and down every year is a win. Make sure you check your lights before you begin. I had one strand that didn’t work out of the box but Govee’s customer support was fantastic and quickly shipped me a replacement strand quickly and painlessly. I’d recommend buying the mounts sold on Amazon because the adhesive likely wont last long. I’m heavily invested in the Govee ecosystem and glad I went with these.

I would give no stars if possible. This has been the worst experience I’ve ever had with any company. I purchased the Govee Pro lights on sale and had them installed two months ago. After just two months, they completely failed.I reached out to Govee to try to make things right and went through their troubleshooting process. It was the hardest process I’ve ever had because no one was available to answer my questions or fix anything. It took about two weeks to even get that figured out.After that, they were willing to replace the Govee Pro lights. I bought them on sale, so they refunded me for the sale amount. I don’t want a refund. I want the product again.They said no, they refunded the money. Just two months later, that same product was over $200 more. They weren’t willing to cover the additional expenses, not to mention the $500 I had to pay to have them installed.If I wanted them installed again, I would have to pay the full amount for the new price of the Govee permanent lights outdoor pro. At this point, Govee has costed me out of my pocket $900 just to have them taken off of my house after two months of no longer working.It would be an additional loss of $700 if I were to purchase and install new Govee lights. I explained to them that I have purchased over $1500 in Govee lights throughout my property and home. But that meant nothing to them.This by far is the worst business I’ve ever run into. I highly advise you don’t go with this product. Not only does the product fail very quickly, but the customer service, moral, and ethics of this company do not stand or fall in line with any customers.

These did exactly what I wanted my lights to do. I previously bought a generic set that worked but would only do one color at a time. This kit was simple to set up and came with plenty of additional splices and extensions. Highly recommend if you are looking at permanent lighting.

Installed the product about a month ago. Very sharp and versatile product that will wow your neighbors. I have had multiple comments already. Compared to a lot of the other LED lights Govee’s app is second to none. They have taken a lot of the feedback from prior customers and improved upon the product in the latest version. Really like the product, everytime I come home I switch to a new theme within the app. It takes about 10 seconds to switch and keeps the lighting fresh for any occasion.Like: The brightness and overall ease to install these are a big benefit. You can’t just jump up and complete them but Govee is correct with enough planning you can install these pretty easy. Just take your time and you’ll have less to worry about in the future. The App is really strong compared to competitors. It is extremely easy to use and now that there is a sharing and DIY function there will at some point be tons of different light schemes for all occasions. I actually enjoy the AI feature a lot although i think it has some iterations to go through before it is stronger. Love the overall theme of lights and liked the cleanness.Dislike: Splicing (While much easier than previous versions) still needs much improvement. Would be great to have a cheap tool in there to strip the wire easier. My wire stripper was not small enough for the tiny wires. The middle cord (Yellow) was absolutely tiny, it was almost impossible to get a consistent connection after splicing everything on the middle wire as it was smaller than the other 2.Pucks don’t stick that well. Will be less work YOY to stick them back in, but 3M are not really sticking up withe weather in the middle of the country.Future Improvements for Company: Would love to see iteration 3 or 4 come out the door in the next couple years. I think the company is close dominating the market with their lights, but I do some improvements listed below: Find a better alternative than 3M for your adhesive. Not strong enough in all environments. 1 Month in used all the videos for advise and have had 6 pucks already fall. I will probably find alternatives to keep them in place, but was weakest point of product. Wires were too small to strip and were a bit of a nightmare still. Would like to see slightly bigger wires easier for splicing. Would also be nice to obtain some sort of stripping object in package made for the wires. (Awesome idea for stripping though was necessary to make the product user friendly — Best add on with the pro version) Would be nice to have some sort of mapping tool or double use with the AI to advise how much product a user needs to light their house. With the stripping and extension cords was a little hard to plan if I needed 100ft or 150 ft. The lights are rated IP67 which is great should work in most conditions, however, the power backup is not. I ended up purchasing a box to store the box in, but the power adapter is not made for laying on the ground in snow or rain. This doesn’t make sense for outdoor product at all. Lastly, sell your extension cords in more lengths and on your store. They are extremely helpful for cleanness and all of your buyers that are purchasing these expensive lights want to do good work. (Buyers beware after certain extension length the extension cords will start to drop lighting through your display) you don’t want more than 15 to 20 ft extension at any one point or you might have issues.Tips for first time buyers: Do your homework. Yes these stay for longer but you have to do the math right and you need to figure out a way to do this seamlessly across your house from left to right. There is very little wiggle room to make jumps. These need to be put up in warmer weather like the 50s or above or the 3M stickies do not work well. Watch 5 to 10 videos on putting it together, there is great help out there that can assist. Plan a full day for installation and take your time. Measure 10 times before ordering, I was sketchy on 100ft, barely made it, but probably should’ve done 150 ft to get the last peek. Lastly, once you’ve set your product for a couple weeks find the weak pucks that fall and set them really well by locking them into place. I ended up stapling some sections to keep them up.
