Just and update from my first post.

I once owned a Robomow R500 several years ago, an old perimeter wire robotic mower and loved it. But after repairing breaks in the wire, several battery replacements (lead acid), you learn. What I liked about it was it had three streel blades each about 8in long and angled down. It could cut through really thick tall grass and it had a wide cutting area. I ran that for close to 10years. We named it “Curly” for Moe (mow), Larry and Curly. It eventually went to storage. So my wife gave me permission to buy a new one. So after a lot of looking, I wanted an RTK (hi-fidelity GPS) based model with some AI and computer vision smarts. One that showed up on my radar was the Ecovac GOAT O10000 RTK. It did everything the Mammotion Luba (my first choice), but the O1000 had a more budget friendly price. My biggest concern with the O10000 was the size and robustness of the single blade systems; the small cut size, and the 3 razor disk. After a couple of weeks of use now I can relax some. I’ve replaced the blades set once already but maybe could have gotten a few more cuts; the size of those blades seems to be standardized so no issue. The Ecovac app works well with the GOAT O1000 although it takes a while to learn. For example, I have a Front yard, back yard, behind the garage yard and the side of the house yard. The backyard is enclosed with a chainlink fence. So I needed a path that would connect the front-yard, (sections; I split it into 2 zones seperated by the front sidewalk) and side-yard so I created that joined all of those. One charge will get the the front and another will get will get the back. What is so amazing, is once it’s all mapped out and connected with the path the robot is all automatic. It mows it all in straight lines (you set the angle) and it can be scheduled to do all automatic. It is impressive how well it works. Sharp blades cut nice lawns so the results have been great. The charging takes about 1 1/2-2hr for 100%. So on mowdays (I’m mowing every 2days) I have zone(3)(2)(1) for the morning, then a 2hr rest (charge time), then zone(4) for the last time. It’s amazingly automatic and more or less hassle free. The only hassles I’ve had was the initial setup. In my first attempt, I place the robot under my steps hiding it from the weather… but that was a no-no. The robot itself needs to see clean GPS signals (regardless of the RTK pole). So having the robot base (charger) away from buildings or overhanging structures is important. While it has a generous amount of wire from the charge station to the power transformer, you need an outlet for it. I had one available but still needed a waterproof extension cord from the outlet to the power transformer. It’s all water proof so no problem, leaving everything uncovered. Anyway, once you get it all setup, you use the phone app (android or apple) to map the zones. It has automapping so it uses AI and computer vision to find an walk next to edges. You can manually take over for other operations to direct the mapping and later do manual no-mow zones. Once done, and your zone is done, it’s ready to go. Once you have zones defined, you just setup the paths connecting all you zones and your all set. I have mine doing front and side yards in pass one but it passes through the back gate. If I forget to open the gate, it simply returns to the charger base. If it’s open, it just follows the path right to the front section and goes to town. So I’ve noticed it doesn’t like tall tufts of onion-grass which is common in the “Bluegrass State” and see those as osbsticles. It handles the front yard tree well. I found it could not create a zone for a very narrow strip, it needs about 4ft width to create a zone, but mine was about 2 1/2ft. So you may still need a small mower for trimming and string trimmer. It’s a great machine, and value at sub $1000 at the moment. All and all, I’m already loving the Ecovac Goat O1000 RTK advanced robotic mower. Seriously 5 star.Update: I’ve used now about 30+ times and I don’t think I would ever go back. The lawn is looking great an I’ve had very few issues with it. The app software takes a little time to learn how to map your lawn and connect everything with paths. My only frustration the manually steered mode would always disengage the mower left go of the steering button So you would have to stop and re-engage the the mower blades and resume (for example if you loose Bluetooth connectivity in manual mode). I had it get stuck twice at two specific locations in my lawn (which were holes I needed to fill in my lawn). If you have bushes that over hang low to the yard, the robot will assume they are obstacles and not go under them. However, what a time saver.. The front, sides and backyards are all mapped out, and I run the ‘GoatyO’ about every 2 days, first doing the back, then the front and sides. The biggest issue I had was placing the RTK tower and mower in a suitable location, as it needed to be away from the house and have electricity. Both the robot and tower have to see a min of 25 satellites and at first I thought it was just the RTK tower. The other small issue is it cuts the grass shorter than I’m used to. I have it set to it’s max which looks nice. I would also recommend when you do your mapping to cut and edge the grass first so that it has a clear look at the obstacles, like sidewalk edges, fences, garden edging, etc. All and all it’s the best deal going. I don’t ever want to go back. Beats that summer heat.

This robot lawnmower works like a dream come true!

This Ecovacs Goat robotic lawnmower has made such a difference for me health wise, and it works so much better than I ever dreamed it would! The decision to buy: I found myself needing to take care of my parents’ huge lawn. I decided that I could mow it with my small push mower, if I mowed a section every day or two. Then, the grass started growing faster, and it got hot. Soon, I found myself needing to mow every single day to stay on top of it. I have some health issues that really limit my energy levels, especially in the heat. After mowing each day, I was left with almost no energy left to accomplish other things that day, and the mowing was also triggering asthma. I was about to call a lawn service, which would cost $100 per mow. We had used them before, and the very large machines would yank out the grass and create big ruts, so I really didn’t want to do that. Then, I found the Ecovacs Goat on Amazon! I was really hesitant to spend the money, but after watching a lot of You Tube videos and studying the reviews, I took a chance and got it. This is honestly one of the best purchases I have ever made on Amazon.Set-up and use:Right out of the box, it was fairly easy to do the initial set-up and the auto mapping. In just a couple of areas, I needed to steer it myself, using the app, and once I got the hang of it that was pretty easy, too (and fun.) I did find the instructions included were somewhat confusing, especially because they showed a diagram of a different model, referencing buttons that mine did not have. Thankfully, I had watched enough YouTube videos and read enough reviews that I was able to figure it out. (So I highly recommend that you watch some videos and read the reviews while you are waiting for your robot to arrive, as that did really help ease the set up process for me. Despite the instructions being a little lacking, the set-up is actually not difficult at all, and the robot does a very good job of auto mapping. I have also read other reviews stating that Ecovacs customer service is very helpful, so there is always that option if you need help. I did not need to do that though.Once you have the lawn mapped and zones created, the app is very straightforward to use, and the mowing is really fun to watch! The robot does a beautiful job of mowing perfectly straight lines. The only thing to note, is that if you have a very tall weed, like a 6-8 inch tall dandelion, it will think something is there and avoid it. (I find that you can just stomp on the dandelion, so that it is tilted over, and that seems to enable the robot to mow it. Yes, I know that spreads the seeds, but I’ll be doing some spraying too, lol.)After mowing an area, the robot will go back to any spots where it thinks there was an obstacle, and mow around it if it is still there. So if you accidentally leave something in the yard, like a bucket, dog toy, etc., you can go move it and the robot will come back and mow that area at the end of mowing that section. This robot navigates hills and uneven terrain quite well. Our ground is pretty uneven (remember those ruts I mentioned earlier created by the lawnmowing service?) There are also several hills which I expected I would surely still need to do myself with the push mower. The robot, however, handles those with no problem! I was so shocked and extremely pleased! Conclusion:This little robot mower is very well designed, functions extremely well, and is very easy to use. I cannot recommend it highly enough! This will be especially helpful to seniors and anyone with health issues who finds it a challenge to physically mow. I am very impressed with the amount of lawn this little robot can mow. I didn’t initially believe my robot friend would be able to do the entire lawn, because it is slightly larger than the size listed, so initially I had planned on still mowing the front lawn myself….but, what a delightful surprise, he easily does the whole thing, front and back, slightly over 1/4th acre!Final thoughts:If you aren’t physically able to mow, or you have limited time for mowing, this is another wonderful option instead of using an expensive lawn service. This robot cost much less, over the long run, and it really does a perfectly beautiful job. It is quieter and much better for the lawn too! I am so happy with this purchase, and I highly recommend it!

Might be worth waiting another year

Update: I am adding this update and dropped the rating because we bought a Segway Navimow 110 and it is flawless. Set up and mapping were easy. It actually mows non stop with no input. Camera actually detects obsticals, Adjust its cut directions 60* each time, MUCH better battery life. This has met the standard of what we expected.I’ll start off by saying, when this thing works we loved it. Bought it with the expectation that it would regularly cut our lawn (less then 1/4 acre) for us and we could weed wack and mow here and there if needed for clean up. It has a pretty nice cut, missing strips sometimes but I adjusted the direction regularly (manually) and it generally got it next time. It generally does a good job making consistent cut lines back and forth, occasionally got stuck but only on steeper inclines where it ended up caught on something because it was struggling to turn. It ran at night multiple times flawlessly. It’s quiet, you really only hear the blades cutting the grass and that’s when you’re close to it. The set up was super quick, and the manual mapping didn’t give me too many issues.Minor downsides I found were that it really would need to spend 12+ hours cutting to get through everything. The dual blade one might be worth upgrade if you wanted it to minimize the cut time. I found that having it mow pretty much every day it actually did the job quicker likely because less cutting resistance extended battery. There is an option on the app to set and change mow direction but it only had an option to alternate weekly. I could see this tearing up the lawn when it makes its turns to come back if you were cutting every day. Probably a relatively easy software fix. I found adjusting the map boundaries to be more challenging than it should be. My neighbor has another brand that he can go into the app and pull or push boundary lines with his finger. The deal break for us was that it consistently lost its signal. We had 20-30 satellites and a “strong” connection. It would be mowing fine and then have errors like “lost rtk signal” or “out of bounds” even though it was dead center in the yard. It seemed to happen during the day consistently so I don’t know if it is overly sensitive to heat (hasn’t been over 85 but it is direct sunlight). Other times it would just stop, show in the app that it was in the charger and it would be somewhere else completely in the yard…sometimes still moving. Losing the signal caused sporadic behavior though.Support was OK, I only used the app messenger, did not try to call. Per their instructions I moved the RTK at least 3 times, remapped the whole yard probably 5-10 times. Did a hard reset to the mower, powered on and off time and time again. Ultimately ours has been having issues pretty much since it came out of the box and due to that it’s going back before the return period ends. I am tempted to buy another and hope we just got a dud and that is saying something but we might have to go with a different brand.

    Worth its weight in gold

The media could not be loaded.

We had been considering getting a robot mower for a while now. We have 4 children that are on the spectrum and have adhd. Getting down to each other is like going due to medical issues of myself and my husband. It is hard for us to do the yardwork. I already have had to pay an exorbitant amount to have to do the front yard and I cannot afford to pay double that to add the backyard to it. So we were considering in getting a robotic mower just to do the backyard but now we can do the front yard. Most of our front is not within the 17” incline. The small portion that is, is the ditch and my husband said he could handle it with a weed eater since the robotic mower can do the rest. Which would save us more money in the long run. Part of our issues are our kids have sensory issues. We have an electric mower because gas mowers are too loud for the kids and the smell as well. While we do have a relatively quieter electric mower than others do. They find it too loud. This brand, Ecovac has a good reputation to begin with. So I thought would start with this. It took about 20 minutes to initially set it up and that did include Unpacking everything getting an all put together instead of outside. Also included downloading, updating and installing firmware. Surprisingly, the mower came with a 57% battery. It was essentially basically like a plug-in play robotic mower. The instructions as far as putting it together were very clear. Installing the app was easy in the instructions as far as setting up the pin code and then going from the pin code and adding it to the Wi-Fi Was really just very user-friendly. And then when you went out and then set it up as far as putting everything together and getting it going and installing the firmware, it was just really you followed the prompts and that was it. The same went when you were following the mapping you just followed it step-by-step. Then it took about 10 minutes trying to figure out how to learn the mapping. I have muscle twitches and so I was having a hard time Handling the “joystick “on the app so my movements were jerky so I was having the mower spinning and going in quirky movements. So I’m gonna have my husband redo the mapping of the backyard for me but all that considering it did really well it understood what I was telling it to do surprisingly. So it is definitely easy to maneuver just takes a slight learning curve! It understood the commands that I was giving in even with my twitches and reacted very quickly we had high patches of grass in certain areas. I should’ve chosen a higher setting, giving how high the grass was so that the mower would never work as hard as it did. But it actually did cut through the grass and did not stall. In one of my photos you’ll be able to see the huge difference between the basically 6-7 inch grass and the cut that it did because I had said it for it in 2 inches when I should’ve had it 4 inches that way I could just do a second pass. The mower itself basically is at a home as far as a noise. It is very very quiet. It does not bother my children at all. The dogs are actually louder. The cutting is actually very quiet. I would say that the quietest weed eater is 50 times louder. It has really good traction even with our super dry dirt at the moment. It had zero issues moving around. It’s a really well built machine. It’s super heavy, quality made and very we’ll constructed. Definitely made for the outdoors. It’s made to get the work done. It’s meticulous in its work buts not slow it moves quickly and gets the job done well. It does have an animal lockout. Which you can turn off if you want and it does do things if it notices something. I do like that. It has the pin code so that you can have an avoidance if somebody decides to steal it then they’re locked out. Also, I like the fact that you can schedule it so that way, even if you’re gone, you can schedule it for your away and have we can just have it mowed for whenever we want and not have to worry about it which will make it so much easier for us in the long run. I don’t have to worry about my kids. I can manage allergies so much easier now. And it’s one less thing that’s knocked off my budget and one less thing that’s knocked off our scheduling. Not to mention the fact that unlike some other brands, it actually has a rain sensor on it, which was something that I don’t know how but I completely missed when I read all about it and so if it just even senses that it’s gonna be a heavy rain, it will automatically stop and not run. It’ll resume after I think like three hours or so after the rain stops. Which means I don’t have to be so paranoid about it if it happens to rain and we have stepped out. I was exceedingly surprised with this.

    O1000 RTK – First Impressions

This is an early review of the product. Have had less then 1 week, will look to update again in future. (=(neutral),+(positives),-(needs improvement))+ Price: This is the most inexpensive RTK GPS mower you can find currently+ Install of software was easy (just visit your app store). don’t bother attempting the QR code in their quick guide takes you to some Chinese site.- linking the robot to software not straight forward and directions in quick guide are misleading. Scanning the QR code was able to get to the first step of the process… but the instructions for enabling bluetooth were not accurate. After some trial and error I was able to get the robot to connect and setup the WIFI.+ Installation of the base and RTK GPS receiver was straight forward, no instructions really required.= Mapping boundary – Somewhat tedious, you have to use the app to manually drive it. (Would be nice if there was a way to attach a handle and push the robot around (like a push mower) to map the boundary).= Setup schedule – Was not designed like most software, but good enough to input the details in about 15-20 minutes.+ Mowing – Work OK (seems like all the others using those small blades), it’s able to navigate around the yard well and able to avoid obstacles (including yourself if you go to stand in front of it). Will get to about 4-5 inches and then move around the obstacle.= Rain Sensor – detected rain well, but as base is in shade it didn’t realize once rain was over (or software didn’t clarify). Had to manually dry it’s sensor and tell it to manually head out to mow (once grass was dry). Would be nice if you could adjust this in the software somehow (currently looks like it’s only a ON/OFF option)+ Battery life – It will mow for about 2 hours on a single charge and covers around .08 acres in that time. This is around 75% of my yard. So a .25 acre yard would take around 6 hours a day to fully mow. (It returns to base once battery hits 15% to recharge). If I left it here I would likely give it 4 starts. My one GIANT annoyance… The emergency stop. I still can’t figure out how to remove it after triggered… The only way I’ve got so far is to hard reboot the robot via the power button, but that takes about a minute and then I need to input the pin after reboot. Just this morning in my attempt to figure it out I tried pressing both the home and recharge buttons (don’t do this it resets the robot and you lose all settings and will have to remap yard again). Supposedly there is a way to remove it in software (haven’t figured that out either).

Feature Packed Easy to Use Lawn Mower!

From the outside it may seem like a larger robotic vacuum with a blade underneath, but this lawn mower is so much more. The mower is well built to withstand the elements and comes packed with features such as being perimeter wire free, being able to designate different areas with different mowing schedules, a fun POV camera to see the mower’s perspective and also a manual mowing mode.Unboxing:Everything was nicely packaged inside the box to ensure nothing got damaged during transport. What was especially helpful was the mower and dock were sitting on an inner platform with handles that can be lifted directly out of the box. This made unboxing simple. The mower measures approximately 15.5” X 24” and the base measures approximately 16.5” X 28”. The power cord from plug to dock measures almost 20 feet which eliminated my need for an extension cord.Physical Setup:I am one of those that likes to read the product manual and so I did front to back. The manual was very clear and well written, but I discovered after loading the app on my phone, it took me through the same step but this time with videos which was even better!I did spend some time deciding where to place the dock and the RTX (the circular disk on a pole looking item) in my lawn. I didn’t want to place it in a location where the kids could bump into it, yet still close enough that it can be plugged into the outlet without an extension cord. In addition, the area you choose does need to have decent wifi coverage. I settled on a location next to my shed which hardly anyone ever goes to.App Setup:This mower requires you to use the Ecovacs Home App and so I did. After creating my account, it asked to scan the QR code on the mower. After looking around the dock and the mower, it took me a few moments to realize the QR code is on the rear panel between the rear wheels. The firmware update that followed took about 30 min. With no wires for perimeter setup, the machine relies on its cameras and GPS. I have two areas of lawn, each measuring about 150 squarefoot. Area one has no border and no defined edge between the grass and dirt. Area two has plastic edging around the entire area. For area one, I had to setup boundaries manually since the mower was getting confused where the grass ended and the dirt began. The process was simple. On the app there was a virtual analog stick that I could drive the mower around with just like a RC car. One lap around the border and the boundaries was successfully mapped.Since area two had the plastic edging around, the mower was able to detect it and setup the boundary automatically.Mowing Experience:I was very surprised. The blades had a slight hum while spinning and the entire machine was very quiet while mowing my two areas. It took about 20 min to mow each area. On the app is an option to view the POV camera which is quite fun to see everything from the mower’s perspective while it’s going about. What was even more surprising was “Manual Mode” which I didn’t see advertised. In manual mode you can turn on/off the blades while driving the mower like a RC car. I was able to drive the mower to a third area, that is usually gated off, and mow the grass there manually. My inner child was excited at this feature. Do note that the mower requires you to be close behind it while using manual mode which I agree is for safety reasons.Summary:This is an awesome machine that far exceeded my expectations. It is well built, has tons of features and does a great job mowing my lawn.

    Buyer Beware

Conceptually, the GOAT O1000RTK is a great idea, but fails to live up to the lowest of expectations. Now it did  work great for the first couple of weeks, but then the problems began.Issues:- Leaves strips of uncut grass, even after changing the settings.- Ends mowing tasks without even being half way done so then you have to start all over again.- When trying to initiate a task, spinning wheel appears in app over and over again, even after closing out the app several times.- Started malfunctioning by not recognizing its exact location, resulting of leaving my property and going into a gutter/drain across the street from my home.-In manual mode robot is easy to control but often when engaging the blades the blades don’t actually move, if they to function properly it works for a few seconds  then automatically switches off. – Setting up maps ( boundaries and areas) is unnecessarily complicated, not the actual setting up of boundaries, but it merges zones together in one map disregarding the boundaries around the actual home, so then you have divide it, but you can’t create a path so that it knows the route to go back to the charger when battery is low- Bluetooth doesn’t always connect, frequently get spinning wheel in app ( tried closing app, reinstalling app, and updating app) -Customer support is terrible, not helpful in the least.I’m probably leaving some things out, but if you’re still considering this, it might be better to spend more money on a better quality product. With all of the time I spent troubleshooting, and trying to get this thing to mow my lawn I would have been better off buying a push mower.Sorry to be negative, but my experience with this product has been terrible. Perhaps I received a defective unit, but either way, using this thing ended up being more work than I was willing to take on. I’ve really tried to make this work but after almost a month, I’m done. Didn’t see an Option to contact seller on here and Amazon customer support informed me that seller doesn’t provide replacements for defective units. Will be submitting return after my review is complete.

Pretty slow & not perfect. But does good enough job.

Well, I really wish I could give this robot mower a glowing review but I can’t.I have mowed my small fenced in area(which I have sprayed all boundaries with Round up) but the GPS mapping is somewhat lacking. After 4 mows, back to back, and with different directions, there are still strips and spots of grass that remain uncut. I’ve Sat and watched the mower and it appears that it randomly gets confused or just stops mowing one area and moves to another it didn’t finish without rhyme or reason. I bought and put together a small metal dog house to garage the mower in. It has (so far) had no trouble returning to the base station in the dog house. It can’t finish the entire job in one charge which is ludicrous because it’s a small area. I can’t say this mower is worth almost $1,000.00 dollars. I guess if I schedule it to mow every day on a different angle it will eventually get all the missed spots. Who knows. As I have two very small dogs that use the area it is good to have the grass mowed very often. I just wish the company would have an update to the software so that it is more precise in the coverage. It also takes almost TWO HOURS to mow an area that takes a zero turn mower to mow in 15 minutes. Seriously. 15 minutes. But I will keep it for my fur babies convenience to not to have to walk in tall grass (for them tall grass doesn’t take much.). And my 3 year old granddaughter comes down often and plays on the swingset.I’m hoping as more people buy these robot mowers the technology will improve. But as of now it still has bugs to work out.Footnote: the area of my fenced in yard is 2,333 sq Ft OR .0536 acres. It took 116 minutes to mow. That’s ALMOST 2 HOURS!!!!6-25-25 UPDATEI think I have now gotten completely familiar with the app. Once you get passed the learning curve, and trust me. There is definitely a learning curve. But once you get passed that it is awesome to have a well manicured lawn. The FIRST PIECE OF ADVICE: when setting up your mower, example-putting in your PIN number, or anytime you are required to use the buttons on top of the mower do NOT rush the process. And don’t get mad because you don’t think it is responding. It just takes a very long time for it to think and carry out whatever function it told you to do. I’m talking glacier slow. But if you have patience (remember that patience is a great virtue) it will do its thing and you will be able to operate it. I had two mishaps that were entirely my fault. Make sure your wiring to/from the base station and the RTK are secured and not close to the mower.Second, if your robot is not working and the blue light on the RTK is not on you probably want to go check the power strip the mower is connected to.I run this mower every morning beginning at 10:00 am so the dew is dry. The only addition I wish they would made is, when you are setting up your mowing schedule that it gave you the option in this area of the app would allow you to also program the direction of the mowing path. The way I’m having to do it now is that I have a daily alarm on my phone to remind myself to go into the app and manually change the mowing settings to the opposite direction of the mowing job it just finished. Changing mowing directions suggest changing the mowing direction once a week. But since I mow every day the mower will catch the random little strips of grass it mows.I did improve the time it took to mow by changing the speed it cuts over in the tools section of the app. Now it takes less time to mow with no difference in the quality of cutting the grass. It still has some “crazy” spells that just happen randomly. But it will still do the job.I have it set to make a final loop around the mapped area before parking itself. I have a lot of curved flowerbed borders. When making this final lap it will do really good for about half of the job and then goes into its “crazy mode” and will be around 3 feet from the mapping border.??????? I wish it would hug right up to the mapping boundary line while mowing but it doesn’t alway do that. So that’s why I make it do this final lap. They need to come up with a solution for the border mowing so it will get as close as possible to that boundary.Maybe they will come up with an update to fix the problem. But I LOVE my robot mower!!!!! Warts and all!!!Now I’m doing research for one that can handle my other 2 acres that is rugged enough to handle uneven terrain and that much mowing. In two years time of having to have your yard mowed, as big as my yard is, it will pay for itself!!!Love my robot!!!

Not perfect, but darn near. Very happy with its performance.

I’ve had this mower in operation for about three months, and for the most part, have been very satisfied with the performance.Like any technology, it has its good point and bad points. The Good:It’s affordable. I don’t have $2000 to spend on something like this so when I found it available for $899.00, I took a chance.Set-up was fairly easy. I did have some initial difficulty with getting the mower to connect to my house wi-fi, and despite the fairly straight forward directions on how to do just that, I was unable to make it work. Customer service was readily available and had me on-line in about 15 minutes. Once on-line, the u it connected easily to my phone via Bluetooth, and I was able to manually control the unit to map out the various zone perimeter. That process very very easy and straight forward.Luckily, I was able to set up the home base near an available outlet and it comes with a power cable that by memory is at least 20’ long. The RTK station is super simple to install and provides more than enough cable to allow it to be placed in an area with good exposure to the sky as it needs to be able to “see” the satellites to establish position.Mowing is decent, but not perfect. The Bad:Mowing is good but not perfect. Yes, it will miss small strips of yard every now and then, but I don’t care because I have this thing set up to mow every other day, and keep my yard looking good. It will automatically mow in a perpendicular direction from the previous mow (if you have it set up to do so), so it usually gets every bit of the yard over the course of a few mowings.Borders are not perfect. Despite my mapping, it will not seem to go to the edge of the concrete drive and get every bit of grass. There always seems to be an outer edge that needs trimming. I’m sure that I can fix that by remapping to include the un-hit area, but just haven’t gotten to it. No matter what though, I’m figuring that I will still have to string trim various edges. I’m fine with that as I have literally not have had to worry about mowing all season. The u it does seem to lose connectivity at times for no reason at all and it took me a bit to figure out how to get it back online. It may just be my internet and no fault of the mower.Maintenance:Virtually none. Blades take me 5 minutes to replace and I was able to find a generic blade that fits and works great as the name brand ones are a bit expensive. I hit this thing with the hose weekly and keep the underside clean.Overall:Can’t be more please. I don’t mow grass anymore and maybe trim every other week. It took me a few mowing to trust that it won’t leave the map established border. I have had no issues since setting it up in terms of staying witching the set border. It will get stuck on things such as edging. I’ve had a few times where I have had to go retrieve it but have been able to make some adjustments to the yard to stop that from happening. I’m not complaining. I don’t mow grass anymore and never will again. The O1000 handles half of the yard on a single charge, recharges for a few hours and then does the rest. I’m sure there is more that I could say, but overall, I’m very pleased with the purchase and look forward to years use. If it breaks in a few years, I don’t care. I will have saved me countless hours by then and I’ll buy the upgrade.

    Really nice robot lawnmower!

I am so delighted we went with the Ecovacs Goat. Some pertinent background; we live in Florida and let me tell you with our daily summer rainstorms our grass needs to be cut every 5 days or so. We only have grass in the front and on the sides of the house. The grass covers just under 1/4 acre.Set up out of the box was intuitive and pretty easy, in my opinion. I should note I do not consider myself exceptionally tech savvy either. I was able to sync with my home WiFi in under a minute. The unit updated for about 10 minutes and then it was time to sync with the satellites. The process was simple, the first time it only synced with 19 satellites but it was super easy to restart the process. The second time around I made sure I was more than 2 feet away. Worked like a charm!Once I had the unit synced with satellites. It was time to map our property. I found the process rather intuitive and honestly quite quick for what was taking place. After mapping was complete I let the robot charge to full and decided to run it for a cut. The robot did a beautiful job. Our lawn looked as good as if we had used the push mower ourselves.I really like that this ecovacs model doesn’t have a perimeter wire. I can’t imagine how time and energy intensive installing a perimeter wire might be. The real time GPS navigation is working flawlessly for us.Another cool feature is the LiDAR to detect obstacles and the subsequently avoid the obstacles. Our oldest son had left a hose out during a mow that we missed. The ecovacs robot avoided the hose thus saving us an expense replacing it.The ecovacs robot is surprisingly quiet, magnitudes upon magnitudes quieter than our push mower. It also has a zero cutting edge which actually works, we definitely will not have to edge every time we mow with how good this robot mows edges. The app is amazing and so easy to use. I can customize zones and schedule mowings all from the comfort of my house when I have a spare minute. Battery life was more than enough to finish mowing our whole lawn in one charge.  Overall I am beyond delighted with the performance of this robot mower for all the reasons mentioned. I really did not find anything worthy of a complaint.
