Great sound and noise cancelling.
The sound quality and noise cancelling are excellent. There is quite a bit of wind noise when using on a fast moving bicycle however that would be hard to get away from without your entire ear being covered with a full headphone. Its a little difficult regarding connection as you sometimes have to place the buds in the case to get them to reconnect if you pull them out. Not a huge issue for me as I carry the case with me and place them in the case for protection. Initially bought a JBL product and though the sound was great and they were much less expensive than the bose, the noise cancellation was not good to the point I would have to max out the volume on my bike to hear them.

BEST NOISE CANCELLING EARBUDS!
If you work in a loud environment and need to drown out sound, GET THESE! My husband is an assembly line worker at a manufacturing plant and has to hear constant alarms and bells going off. These are the first earbuds, out of multiple pairs over 3 years, that he has actually had to turn down what he’s listening to! The noise cancelling is so great, when I am on the phone with him while he’s at work, I hear almost NO BACKGROUND NOISE! His previous earbuds were hard to even have a conversation with him on the phone because all the alarms would balre through my phone. That is no longer an issue at all! Best money spent for his daily use!

One Major Design Flaw to Consider
First, I want to say the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds 2024 are easily the most comfortable I’ve ever had. The sound is great (not a audiophile here, so strictly an objective opinion) And the noise cancellation is, far and away, better than expected. All this is why I’ve tried everything to work through a major design flaw. All the reviews praise these buds, only mentioning (almost as an aside) that there are connection issues. Also, many purchaser reviews play down this problem – only commenting about one side or the other temporarily losing connection (an occasional glitch with many brands)What they’re missing is that all of these reviews seem to be using the buds while engaged in some activity (eg: gym, running, walking, etc). When sedentary (ie: motionless, lying down or reclining) the Bose Buds will consistently lose their connection. I’ve even tried to disable in-ear detection (the option to do so not offered by Bose). Using tape over the in-ear sensor, I’ve found that the buds still seem to require some motion to “stay alive”.I am currently awaiting delivery of my 3rd replacement earbuds and am really hoping that at some point Bose will try to do something about this in a future firmware update.– Update –The following (in brackets) I submitted to Bose today to try to solve the issue I was having<< I am now on my 4th pair of Bose QuietComfort Earbuds (gen 2) 2024. This latest replacement has proven to be the best functioning so far. The primary problem, however, still persists. In doing some testing I believe a possible a clue to the cause of my most nagging issue has shown up. My primary use of the earbuds is for meditation (ie: while wearing them my head is almost entirely motionless). It appears that the buds are designed to detect movement and that a lack of motion causes one or both of the buds disconnect periodically.Testing this hypothesis during a few listening sessions, I made a point of moving my head every 10 minutes. By doing so, I was able to listen without interruption through several tests (one of then for an hour & 45 minutes). Of course, having to concentrate on moving my head is no acceptable solution. >> – – After reviewing my query, I was informed that this is, indeed part of their design and nothing can be done. The fact that it’s a problem that many have mentioned in You-tube reviews and online comments was not addressed. My conclusion is that Bose is now a company trading on its past reputation and should be avoided. Thus – for obvious reasons – I’ve reduced my rating to 1 star (zero is not an option here)

Excellent sound
The sound quality is excellent. Many of the other ear buds I’ve tried sounded tinny and didn’t have the full sound you get with these buds. I like that the soft ear pieces are more oblong than the standard round ones – they fit my ear well enough and are very comfortable that I can still enjoy music and my Google map directions while I drive my e-bike.

Complicated earbuds, great once sorted, app is terrible
These earbuds are complicated. I keep hoping I’ll sort how to use them but after a few weeks, they’re still hard to use:PROS-The Silence feature is fabulousCONS-They fall out of my ears too frequently-When I fiddle with the earbuds to make sure they stay in, I’m barraged with the off, silence, aware options. This is a feature but it’s also distracting.-The app is incredibly slow. It takes 3 minutes for the app to “connect your device” even though I’d already been listening to a podcast and obviously it’s already been connected.-After about 2 hours, my ears start to ache from the poor fit of the earbuds. By comparison, my over-the-ear Bose headphones hurt the outer ears, perhaps more like after 3 hours.CAVEATI have a medical issue that causes painful “sound flooding.” That’s why speed is crucial for my needs. I need to be able to un-silence when someone talks to me, and silence again when that’s done. The overly complicated options leave me exasperated and then I give up and pull them out of my ears. This is a pretty constant problem and it takes a toll on my nervous system. (I have ME/CFS – most people don’t understand the extreme sound issues.)I’m only taking off one star because for normal people, the slowness etc is probably not so problematic. The Silence feature, again, works really well. And I can use these at places where wearing my over-the-ear headphones might attract unwanted attention.

Excellent fit and ANC
I can’t ever find earbuds without an obnoxious wing tip to stay in my ear. These still have a semi-minimal earbud feel and the small wings work incredibly for fitting in the ear and not coming out. The noise cancelling is surprisingly amazing. Worth every $ and more.

Great sound, with several glaring issues – BOSE please do better!
I’ve been a Bose fan for many years, which is why the areas of failure on these (and all QuietComfort buds after the first generation) are so frustrating. I really expect better from Bose and pray they deliver the next generation more thoughtfully. But…First off the GOOD parts:1) Sound quality (when connection is solid) is great. These have a really full sound with healthy bass.2) Battery life is a noticeable improvement over other generations.3) Touch controls and customizability. You can do a lot just with touch on the flat side surface.4) Wireless charging of the case. This should be table-stakes at this point and it’s wild that other gens didn’t have it.5) Noise isolation on microphone. These are miles ahead of other buds in terms of excluding background noise.6) Noise cancelling in general is good, although I don’t feel that it’s better than the Gen1’s – could be because the ear fit is much worse than the 1st gen.7) Ability to switch devices and be connected to multiple devices is very helpful.8) Auto-shut-off after a certain amount of time is great for battery saving and the fact that you can turn them on with touch is also awesome. That part is a great upgrade. Now the BAD:1) The fit of these is so annoying and uncomfortable. I haven’t found an generation has fit as well as the Gen1’s with the expanded fit kits. These loosen from the ear canal constantly and can literally pop out if you’re chewing or making those high exertion faces at the gym. And they don’t offer any expanded fit kits for the silicone ear tips.2) Speaking of the ear tips – the little bands that surround the ear bud are terrible. They shift out of place every single time I use the buds. You have to rotate them around like you’re trying to open a safe lock just to get them in the right spot. They often come off IN my ear when I remove the beds from my ear canal. They also just fall off the bud if they’re in your pocket, making it so easy to lose them. If they’re out of place when you try to put them in the case to charge, they won’t fit.3) Connectivity issues. Half the time I remove them from the case, only one of them turns on/connects via bluetooth, and I literally have to put on earbud back in the case and then back in my ear to get it working. Also, I can have my phone in my pocket and the connection starts to break up.4) The initial connection on setup took me like 7 tries. How has Bose allowed such a terrible set up experience??5) The case is fairly crappy and feels cheap. If you drop it, everything is exploding everywhere. It’s small enough (though very round vs. flat) and it’s lightweight, but could be better. Those are the big ones. And hey, at the end of the day, I still own two sets of these and use them religiously. But please Bose, take the feedback and do better next time!!!

Long time Bose user, very disappointed with these
As someone who used the first generation buds everyday for years, I can 100% say these are worse in many ways.Bose used to be entry level premium audio and the quality of every product reflected that, but I’m noticing they’ve been cutting corners with their earbuds/headphones.First of all, the build feels cheaper. The case and earbuds feel like light plastic, which you could say is because they wanted to reduce weight, but theres less polish and function to them now.The case lost its 1 button (which was extremely helpful to reconnect, reset, or shut off), and now the earbuds are reduced to tapping only (way too sensitive to touch)Also the new fitting options suck. They added these rubber rings that come in different sizes and wrap around the earbud, but they always slip off and dont stay in place very well. The 1st gen earbuds had an app, but now you have to get a new app for some reason that mostly does the same thing but it actually has less features now. Also considering this is BOSE, the amount of features available on the app in 2025 is disappointing in comparison to other companies like sennheiser and even skullcandy. But the worst part for me that made me want to write a review is the connectivity issues.I cant count how many times ive had issues with the connection on this thing. The audio will stutter, or one earphone just RANDOMLY disconnects, it could be either one and there is no provocation for it. Audio will just cutout, and if youre lucky the earbud will restart itself and reconnect. At first I tried to ignore it, but this thing is constantly having problems regardless of what device I use it with or where I am.Also im not an audiophile, but im almost certain the audio quality is slightly worse on these in comparison to the first generation. Again, I used the first gens for years, and i can tell these dont sound anywhere near as clear. The bass and highs are weaker and the “soundspace” is nonexistent.I wish I bought a second pair of the first gens after i lost them instead of these. They were bulkier but they were so much better overall. In my opinion, i would suggest avoiding this model and the latest quietcomfort headphones as well.

minor issues but in love
absolutely love them, only use them in the gym and so the battery lasts a whole week :)the only issue i had was that they didn’t always disconnect when i put them in the case, but i figured out it was the rings that hindered it from connecting to the case, so i just take them off while i don’t use them and add it in the casei just write this review so others know about this little hack ^^

Bose QuietComfort left ear static. Maybe the replacement pair will do better
Bose QuietComfort Bluetooth Earbuds.Comfortable, great sound. I love the adjustable bass. Paired very easily with my phone. Unfortunately I had to return them because the left earbud suddenly had a very loud static and no other audio.I am getting the exact same pair in exchange because I really liked everything else about them.True Wireless Earbuds with Active Noise Cancellation and Mic, Deep Bass, IPX4 Rating, Up to 8.5 Hours of Playtime
