THE BEST WEIGHTED VEST I HAVE FOUND
I tried a couple different rucking vests and had to return them because they sagged so low on the back, and I had to keep adjusting it as I wore it. Then I found Zelus! It still pulls down a bit toward the back, maybe because the weights on the back are heavier than the front? But I don’t have to adjust and pull it back toward the front as much as the others that I returned.I started with a black 12 lb vest. I wore it for 5 months. Then I bought a olive green 16 lb, which I have been using for 8 months. I recently bought a pink 20 lb vest and it’s still a bit heavy for me to use, but I plan to start using it in 2-3 months.I started rucking on hills13 months ago and the Zelus weighted vest has really enhanced my work outs. I started doing 3 miles a day, and now am up to almost 7 miles on my best days. My legs look toned, defined. I am trying to build muscle and bone density since I am a cancer survivor and on cancer meds for 5-10 years that cause muscle loss and bone density loss. I believe this vest will help to at least slow the bone and muscle loss. The meds also cause weight gain, but since I have been increasing the miles that I ruck, I have been able to maintain my weight.I now see that Zelus makes a “U-Shaped” vest and I am wondering if I should have purchased that instead, since it looks like there are more weights in the front so that the vest doesn’t sag in the back. And it looks like it might accommodate the female bust better. Too late; it is recommended that you not go beyond 11% of your body weight, which would be 15.5 lbs, so I have definitely maxed out with the 20 lb vest and won’t be getting another one, sadly. Maybe when I have worn out the 20 lb vest, I’ll get the 20 lb U-shaped vest!67 years old, 5’9″ tall.maintaining 141 lbs

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Transformative Workout Tool — Balanced, Comfortable, and Surprisingly Versatile
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Transformative Workout Tool — Balanced, Comfortable, and Surprisingly VersatileAfter weeks of using the ZELUS 16 lb weighted vest, I can say with full confidence: this vest doesn’t just add weight — it adds purpose to your training. Whether you’re walking for weight loss, rebuilding endurance, or challenging your strength, this vest meets you where you are and pushes you forward.⚖️ Well-Engineered Balance Makes the DifferenceUnlike bulky, awkward vests I’ve tried in the past, this one is thoughtfully designed. The weight distribution is perfectly balanced, front to back, so there’s no tipping, pulling, or shoulder strain. It feels secure and intentional — every movement feels enhanced, not hindered. This is especially helpful during: • Uphill walking • Squats and lunges • Core work • Modified HIIT exercises🔒 Stays in Place — No Shifting Mid-WorkoutThe adjustable straps and snug, contour-hugging fit make a huge difference. I can do jumping jacks, climb stairs, or even bend into yoga poses without the vest bouncing or riding up. That security lets me focus on my form and breath, not on adjusting the gear.🧵 Built to Last — Sweat-Ready & DurableThe neoprene fabric is breathable, flexible, and durable, which matters when you’re pushing your limits. I’ve worked out with it in humid outdoor weather and during indoor bodyweight sessions — it doesn’t trap heat or stink up. After several sweaty uses, it still looks and smells like new. That’s rare.💡 More Than Just Extra Weight — It Builds IntentionalityOne of the most surprising benefits? Mind-muscle connection. With just 16 lbs added, every step becomes deliberate. It turns a casual walk into conditioning. It transforms squats into a power move. You feel your body working smarter and harder, not just heavier.✅ Final Thoughts:This isn’t just a weighted vest — it’s a versatile fitness upgrade. Whether you’re walking in a weighted vest for fat burn or doing strength training without the gym, the ZELUS 16 lb vest is an excellent choice for real results.🧠 Who It’s Great For: • Beginners building endurance gradually • Busy parents adding resistance to daily movement • Athletes cross-training at home • Women looking to increase core, leg, and glute engagement💯 Would I recommend it? Absolutely.Would I repurchase it? Yes — and I might get a second one just for park workouts. This vest has become part of my weekly rhythm—and that’s what progress looks like.

Excellent Addition to My Workouts!
I’ve been using this 12 lb weighted vest for a few weeks now, and it’s been a game changer for my training. The weight is distributed evenly, which makes it comfortable to wear during bodyweight exercises, running, or even just walking for some extra resistance. The fit is snug but adjustable, so it doesn’t bounce around or shift during movement. The material feels durable and breathable, which is great for longer sessions or warmer days. I’ve noticed improvements in my stamina and muscle endurance since incorporating it into my workouts. It’s also a great size—not too bulky, but still adds enough challenge. Whether you’re a beginner looking to increase intensity or more advanced and using it for conditioning, this vest gets the job done.Highly recommend if you’re looking for an effective and affordable way to level up your fitness!

Too heavy for me
I ordered the 16-pound vest based on the things I often have to carry around, like 40 pound sacks of bird seed. Having 16 pounds in a vest form felt very different that the same weight to carry in your arms. I could not put the vest on, it was so heavy for me, and I am not weak. The vest itself seemed like good quality, I just misjudged how it would feel and fit. Also, the picture of the vest that I saw was much smaller than the real vest, and I could not figure out why until I went back and looked at the vest on the Amazon page. The lighter weight vests are a lot smaller, but if you click on the heavier ones (like I ordered), they are much larger, I just did not notice. I did not like that extra material, especially right now when it is extremely hot. So I returned the vest, and had to pay $6.95 to do so, but I could not use it. I ordered another one in the 8-pound size. The lighter one came today, and it fits perfectly. It is the smaller size I originally thought I was getting, so I am happy now. I took one star away because I think it should be noted that the vests are in two different sizes, or I would never have ordered the larger one at all.

Great for walking- 5’6 and 180lbs female
Great vest! I was torn in what vest to get and I decided to try this one. Nervous as first because it was such a reasonable price but it’s great and easy to use!For reference, I’m female that 5’6 and 180 lbs. I went with the 12lb vest and I’m glad I didn’t go lighter. When you first pick it up it feels heavy but when you wear it the weight is evenly distributed, it’s comfortable, and fits well!It comes with a velcro phone case but I haven’t not used it yet for a phone because I usually have pockets on my leggings. However, I haven’t used it for dog disposable bags and it works great! I’ve used it for over a month and the quality seems very good so far!

Where Has this Been!!???
Where has this been!!!? I only wish I knew about this *years* ago!!I orginally purchased the 8 pound weighted vest. After only 4 weeks of wearing it while walking, I am already down 6 pounds!! SO excited!! I decided to up the weight and purchase the 12 pound vest. The first thing I noticed when I put the the 12 pound vest on, it definetly fits better than the 8 pound one. Just for argument sake, I am 5′ 8″. Not saying the 8 lb. one didn’t fit, it was just a little snug ~ BUT, still love it! I will wear both though. Also, while walking with the vest I notice my core is engaged along with my butt and legs. Even though the vest does not have a way to adjust, they both fit very comfortably. I am SO SO happy with both purchases.

Get the correct weight for your body!
I’m 5’4 at 135 pounds and I ordered the 12 pounds vest after trying the 20 pound weight. I read the suggested weight suggestion on the product and thought I would be making myself work out harder if I went with more weight. I read on another website that it is suggested to do 5-10% of your body weight max on the weighted vest which I highly agree! Don’t kill your shoulders and back. This vest is well made, comfy and I like that it has the removable pockets for your phone, dog supplies etc.

Quality, weight
I started wearing this vest during my high intensity, strength training sessions to increase the challenge. The vest has held up well. I wear it 5 days a week for 60+ minutes at a time. I use a Lysol fabric disinfectant because this cannot be washed in the washing machine. The vest is loose on me and does jump around when I am in the middle of training sessions. It is more geared toward walking and low impact training and exercise. As a woman, I do not have a boxy figure so the single strap does not secure the weighted vest well enough to keep it from moving around during my training sessions. If you are looking for a vest that you can wear during high intensity training sessions, including running or high movement and high impact training. I would suggest a multiple strap vest that is more secure. I would not recommend this specific vest for training purposes, unless they are low impact, such as walking.

“You can get strong just during your daily activities!” -me
My mom bought the 16-lbs vest from Amazon a week or two before I bought this one, she insisted that I try it on to test how it feels, and it was pretty good. So, I bought this one for myself, however, I was told that the optimal weight for one of these was your weight divided by ten, and I am 145lbs. The vest unfortunately doesn’t have a 14lbs vest, even though it has an 8, 10, and 12 pound option, and a 16 after that, so I was left to choose the lighter one, as it was the cheaper option. This is both a complaint of the variety and the price difference, I would have liked a 14lbs, $35-$40 option so that I didn’t have to settle on either a more workout-effective jacket or a cheaper jacket.

Wrong fit for some women.
The quality of this item is very good. The fit might not be right for women. The weighted areas hit right across the front of chest, and the clasp to close the vest is right in the middle of the breast. While 12 pounds may not seem like much, after a few minutes of walking or training, the weight can hurt/irritate the breast area – and the vest overall really pulls on tops of your shoulders at the neck.I am going to look for something that has the weight more evenly distributed.
