I grabbed a set of AirTags during Prime Day and couldn’t be happier with the switch from Tile. For just a little more money, you get way more functionality and peace of mind. I love that I can easily replace the battery myself instead of tossing the whole tracker like with other brands, adding to the waste in the ground. Being able to customize the name and icon for each tag, and play a sound when I misplace something, makes managing my devices incredibly simple.I use them on my keys, in my luggage, camera bags, headphone cases, and even discreetly tucked in my car just in case. The proximity alerts are a huge plus, if I leave home and forget something, my iPhone notifies me right away. The integration with the Find My app is seamless and far superior to anything I used before.My only real gripe is that one of the AirTags I keep in the car frequently alerts me that I left it behind while I’m actually driving with the keys. It’s a bit quirky, and I’d also love the ability to see a more accurate battery percentage rather than just a low battery warning. But those are minor issues in an otherwise outstanding product. It’s worth noting my other car keys never do it so maybe it’s the AirTag actually low and misreporting it as fully charged.Overall, AirTags are an excellent investment for anyone who misplaces things—or just wants the peace of mind knowing their essentials are trackable.

A Must-Have for Keys and Car Tracking!I’ve been using my Apple AirTag for about half a year now, and it’s been a game-changer! Setup was incredibly easy, and now my keys are always traceable. The Precision Finding feature is amazing, guiding me right to them with on-screen directions.It’s also great for my car. I’ve left an AirTag in my vehicle, and being able to quickly check its location on the “Find My” app gives me huge peace of mind. Whether I’m trying to remember where I parked or just want an extra layer of security, it’s incredibly useful.If you’re tired of losing your keys or want a simple way to keep tabs on your car, I highly recommend the Apple AirTag. It’s a small device that offers a lot of convenience and peace of mind!

We bought these to track our escape artist chihuahua, el Chapo Diablo. We didn’t hide the first one on his collar well enough the first time and he found it.. and chewed it. The second time we got a new holder that was flush and worked like a charm. We use the others to track our tools for our business. They’ve helped us find out dog several times. Thankfully we haven’t had to track our tools but assuming they’ll work well for the task if the time comes. Very easy to use. The accuracy of location is on point.

Connectivity: very easy to pair. Once you pull the tab, it goes straight into pairing mode and your phone instantly detects AirTag available to pair. You can label it, which can then be found in the find my app. For example, I have an AirTag on my bike and a buddy of mine use the bike for a little bit. In the app, you can set the device or whatever the AirTag is attached to as lost. As long as it is within range of another Apple device, it can connect to it and use its GPS to send signals so you can track it.Battery life: have used the AirTags about six months now and still going strong. Very easy to change out the button cell battery highly recommend getting a lithium ion for longer battery life.Speaker: one of the options when trying to find the device, the AirTag is attached to as utilizing a speaker. Compared to other products on the market, this is probably the quietest speaker which makes it hard to locate at a distance. Especially if this is in a wallet, the sound is severely muted compared to other wallet, friendly devices that are on the market.Overall: despite Apple’s history of proprietary use, these AirTags are highly serviceable and useful when tracking down lost items. You were able to pinpoint the location of the item using the app, there are new features (software related) Which don’t require manual updates compared to other devices. Highly recommend to anyone who throws their keys and wallet into the void.

I bought an AirTag thinking I’d use it for keys. Fast forward a week, and now my wife has one in her purse, my dog has one on his collar, and I’m wondering if I should tag the remote control.Let’s talk about tracking your wife (with her blessing, obviously). Whether she’s out hiking, shopping, or just wandering off in Costco like it’s a maze, the AirTag gives me peace of mind. It’s not about surveillance—it’s about safety and convenience. Plus, she loves that she can find her stuff too.Setup is ridiculously easy, and the precision tracking with iPhone is spooky good. The battery lasts about a year, and it’s water-resistant enough to survive a rainy day or a spilled coffee. Great for forgetful folks (like me) .

These AirTags have worked really well for us. It works with my iPhone 11. Pairing is easy with the “Find My” app on the phone. I bought this specifically for my walkie-talkie when I am out exploring or hiking with a group. I have already lost one and that was enough. After pairing I took it out for a test in my neighborhood. I set it (AirTag attached to the radio) which I named GRMS Radio – by the way, easy to do). I clicked on the “Find My” icon and a satellite view (like Google Earth) shows up. It showed me where I was and where the AirTag was located. It was about 0.1 miles away. From my position it displayed sort of a blue searchlight beam in the direction of the AirTag. I followed the beam to the AirTag, sort of. As I got closer it directed me to the north of the spot where I left it. That was in my neighbor’s yard and a no go. So I just walked over to where I had left it and it made a correction. So, basically, it works.Playing with it I found that you can set the diameter of the area – beyond which it will alert you. I saw the range of 300, 400 and 500 feet. However, I learned that it is not distance sensitive, rather time sensitive. Once you leave your set distance it waits a bit and checks your position to see if you are head back or farther away. I was walking away, in an alley when I got the alert. It took 4 minutes to let me know. If I am walking along that is not a big deal. I suppose if you were in a car, 4 minutes could be a bigger problem.On the positive side, it does work nicely. AND it does not cost extra. There are no monthly subscription fees. It works off Bluetooth. So why only 3 stars? This is why:There is no on/off switch. The battery supposedly lasts for a year, but I do not use my radio very often so I would prefer to have it off and not remind me that I left the radio behind. So, I followed the instructions on how to replace the battery. It said to push down on the stainless steel back and then turn it counterclockwise (while still pushing down) with your thumb/s. I pushed and tried to turn the stainless steel back for 15 minutes or so. My thumbs hurt. I thought about getting a channel wrench to help but I knew that would probably just damage it. So I thought maybe this on is just hopelessly stuck. I tried another one from the 4 pack I got. Same thing. That stainless steel back is slick and I could not get the necessary friction to turn it. Almost every other device I have that has these button batteries has a slot in the back where you can use a coin, or a key or even a screwdriver to turn it. Not these. In the second picture you can see my solution. A small section of a hot glue stick, hot glued to the stainless steel. It provided a good contact for pushing down and at the same time turning it counterclockwise. The 3/5 stars is for their poor design and my frustration of trying to get it open.
