A True Lifesaver for Managing Pet Medications – HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Highly Recommend! This product has been an absolute lifesaver for our household. While most people likely use it for scheduled feeding, we purchased it to help manage our dog’s epilepsy medication—and it has exceeded every expectation.Our dog was diagnosed with epilepsy four months ago, and after some trial and error, her vet determined she needed to take her medication every 8 hours instead of every 12. Since both my husband and I work full time outside the home, giving her a mid-day dose wasn’t feasible. I spent a great deal of time researching solutions and came across the PETLIBRO feeder. I’m so glad I did.Each week, I pre-wrap her pills in pill pockets and organize them in a labeled daily pill case. Every morning and evening, I load the appropriate pill pockets into the feeder bowls for her scheduled 6am, 2pm, and 10pm doses. At each set time, the feeder sounds a chime to notify her it’s “treat time,” and she goes right over to eat her pill—no supervision needed.The app allows me to confirm that each compartment opened and even shows how long she stayed at the bowl. I also use a pet camera as additional monitoring, but this feeder has been incredibly helpful for monitoring her when we’re not home. She learned quickly to respond to the alert, annd she is not a smart dog. The training process was very simple once she realized there was a treat on the other side of the compartment and she has even taken to being near the bowl at the appropriate times.This has truly been a game changer for us. I’ve now completed my Petlibro trio — soft food feeder, hard food feeder, and the newest addition, the water fountain — and I couldn’t be happier.Soft Food Feeder (Polar): This one is a game changer for wet food. It keeps my cat’s food fresh all day without any ice packs, and the app control makes feeding so convenient. I no longer have to rush home or worry about spoilage.Dry Food Feeder: Reliable, consistent, and super easy to set up. It dispenses the right amount of kibble every time, and I like the voice recording feature so my cat hears a familiar sound at mealtime.Water Fountain: The fountain is sleek, quiet, and really encourages my cat to drink more water. I love being able to monitor water levels and drinking habits through the app. Just be aware it needs regular cleaning to avoid buildup — I do it weekly and haven’t had any issues.Overall, I’m really happy with the Petlibro system. Do not recommend if internet account (and subsequent adjustment needed to pair) is not in your name.Otherwise, what a fun product, no?Yes I understand there were two other ways to pair but they didn’t work.

Great auto feeder
Great cat feeder that keeps meals fresh for three days. So much better than the ones that just have ice packs to chill meals. Easy to set up and clean.

Does not keep food fresh unless your room temperature is at 53 degrees or below.
I love the app, the looks and the concept but it is lacking in the most important way. It doesn’t keep food fresh unless your room temperature is kept at 53 degrees. It only cools the food 13 degrees below ambient room temperature. Food should be kept at 40 degrees or lower to keep bacteria from multiplying after only 2 hours. My cat started getting a bad stomach and I checked the temperature with a laser digital thermometer. We keep the room at 68 degrees and the food and “cooled” area was at 55 degrees. According to the FDA, bacteria grow most rapidly in the range of temperatures between 40 ° and 140 °F, doubling in number in as little as 20 minutes. This range of temperatures is often called the “Danger Zone.” I would return this if I could but it is past the return date. I hope Pet Libro figures this issue out because it is a very good idea and the app works great.

Great for pets with food aggression/ obesity
Had this product for about a month now and so far I love the quality and works as it is intended too. It’s easy to set up a feeding schedule and the dispensing is accurate (I use Orijen Small bites and it’s perfect size) does not jam or over flow.Bought this as several attempts to try and make feeding time less stressful on myself and my rescue Shiba who was apparently attacked in the shelter during feeding time and developed a lot of PTSD and crazy quirks from it (sometimes he thiks his tail is another dog and he will attack it during meal times).I tried to feed him from a regular bowl but I have been bitten for getting too close and then he would follow me around as if i was a threat to his food and would try and eat it all. I then switched to a gravity bowl feeder which helped keep me out of the picture and was less stressful for both of us… issue was the food never ended and he was over eating an it now a bit chunky. I recently took him to the vet and learned he has a luxating patilla and a bit of arthritis in thag knee and that he had gained 3 lbs since I rescued him! He is not a bit dog and I felt bad so I bought this to get his weight down in hopes it would keep him from over eating. SO FAR SO GOOD! He no longer associates me with his food bowl, he no longer attacks his tail when he is full and then thinks his tail is going to eat it and so he forces himself to keep eating. He no linger guards uneaten food. I dont have the voice activation set up but the food despenses loud enough he just jumps up to go check it out and their is no anxieties attached it’s been a huge relief. He now doesnt feel the need to guard the bowl of uneaten food from people or the cats because he is comfortable eating the serving and then it’s gone. I’ll have to give it more time before updating my review on Mako’s progress because of the product. So happy i went out and bought the fountain water dish since the cats love to drink from the dogs gravity water bowl but they keep jamming it and making a mess when playing in the water. Comes Wednesday and I’ll have to make a review on whether it’s a better option for the cats who see to struggle finsing the water until they splash in it and see it move or despense.*Update* been a year and a half and the products have not had any issues and still work as intended. My dog knows when his food will despense… he is a medium sized Shiba and I buy the Orijen small bites and it’s perfect. No more stressful meal times! The water dish is used by all 3 pets. My cats love it and so does my shiba. I do have to refill it everyday with 3 pets using it but I don’t mind… just means the water is fresh. Worth the money.

Works Great
I’m updating this review because Petlibro support reached out to me after seeing my original review and sent me a new device. They didn’t have me ship the old one back or charge me anything. The new one works like a dream. Opens on time, bings every time it opens, works even when the wi-fi went out. I took a 10 day trip to Florida and seeing the logs everyday was very comforting.Original ReviewVery easy to set up but it’s supposed to bong each time it opens and it only does about a third of the time. I’ve had this for about two months and have had to reset it twice because the feeder didn’t open at the scheduled time. It makes feeding very easy when it’s working properly but I am nervous about going out of town because I just can’t trust it to work as advertised.

Unreliable Technology and Customer Support
Update 5/28I decided to reach out to Petlibro on all of the social networking messaging I could think of. Finally got a hit on Facebook Messenger. Within 10 minutes the support rep read through all of my cases and refunded me the purchase price via Amazon gift cards, as I live at an international address and Petlibro could not ship internationally while Amazon can. This was an acceptable method as far as I was concerned. I was very pleased the rep didn’t ask me to go through all the troubleshooting again. It was disappointing that the white feeder is no longer available. I also decided to upgrade to the stainless steel tray feeder hoping it is slightly more advanced. There was a coupon that made it only $20 more because apparently I feel the need to give Petlibro even more money after this…I’ve updated my 1-star review to 3-star. The product did still fail after 3 months. I’ll come back 6 months after I get the new product and consider a higher rating if it’s still working as expected.=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-Original reviewIt worked perfectly for three months, then it started to malfunction. In short, about 30 minutes before feeding time, the tray rotates from a refrigerated location to the feeding location so the food warms up. After the malfunction, instead of rotating one spot, the tray begins to rotate without stopping. When the cover opens for feeding, the tray constantly spins.I opened a support request with Petlibro and traded about three messages almost right away. They asked me to try several troubleshooting steps, which did not resolve the issue. They asked me to record and send a video of the behavior. After I did that, there was no response from support for four days. I asked for a follow-up via email every day and have not heard back. I have opened up new support requests, and so far, there has been only one response, but no follow-up.The warranty should be valid for one year, and we are within that window. No phone number is listed, so you cannot speak to a human.When the device works, it is an ideal solution. Unfortunately, neither the technology nor the support seem reliable. If the device is replaced and works well for a while, I will revisit my rating.

Pre-train before departing
Purchase this item a couple weeks in advance of any prolonged absence to “train” your cat(s) and get them used to feeding from it. This model has a built-in chiller vs others that have cooling pads. Fully programmable up to 3 days or it can be opened manually from your phone.My only wish would be that the device have multiple open/close programmable capabilities vs just the one time to open then close after XX minutes/hours. My cat is a “nibbler”, but prefers wet food over dry food as he has no teeth (I got him as a rescue).All in all..great device, glad I purchased 2 weeks in advance. My boy is fine and suffered no ill effects by my absence.

Works as advertised but with some caveats
Works fine. I had no issue setting up the unit and connected to the app via wifi. However the unit doesn’t keep the food very cold. Maybe the plastic food tray is the culprit? I keep my home at 73F all the time. I would suggest to put the wet food in the fridge to keep it cold before you put into the unit.The unit also is quite tall, so I placed three piece of woods on the ground so my cat can reach into the bowl easier. It would help if the dish is shallower.In short, the product works fine but you need to make some adjustments. I only use it when I am away for a day or 2.
