Toggle on/off switch not ideal
Love this vacuum however the power button is a toggle which means you have to hold it back the whole time while utilizing- my daughter has the model, which I thought I was buying, that has the actually power on/off button- disappointed

Powerful yet lightweight vacuum with very useful accessories
The Dyson V9 Motorbar is a high quality lightweight vacuum with powerful suction. It is great for picking up dirt, dust, and pet hair from your floors and furniture. It comes with 4 attachments:1) a 10 inch wide Motorbar cleaning head that is perfect for both carpets and hardwoods, as it deep cleans to remove ground-in dirt and hair,2) a crevice tool to clean hard to reach areas, such as between chair cushions or behind appliances,3) a combination tool that works well for cleaning car carpets and cloth seats. It has a retractable soft-bristle brush that exposes a shorter, firmer brush to scrub stains out of your upholstery, and4) a unique “hair screw tool” that is great for picking up longer hair. The tool’s design ensures that the hair does not wrap around the brush, but instead works off the end of the brush and is pulled into the vacuum’s dustbin. I found this tool, used without the extension tube, is the perfect tool for cleaning carpeted stairs.The V9 Motorbar is lightweight, extremely maneuverable, and simple to use. Just squeeze the ergonomic trigger on the comfortable handle to activate the motor, and the vacuum provides plenty of power to clean your furniture and floors. Battery life is good, with up to 40 minutes in Eco mode, which is great for most tasks. It’s easy to select either Med or Boost modes if you need more power, albeit with a shorter run time due to the faster battery drain.The vacuum comes with a wall mount with a battery charger. After use, simply hang up the vacuum in its mount and the battery will automatically recharge. The wall mount comes with mounting hardware for attaching it to drywall or into the wall studs (recommended).The only downside to the vacuum is its small dust collection cup that needs to be emptied frequently, especially if you have pets. To empty the cup, you must first remove any attachment from the vacuum, the hold the cup over a trash receptacle, then push the red lever forward to empty the contents. The design is such that the dust cup “self cleans”, pushing out any dust particles and hair that has been collected.All in all this is a great vacuum, lightweight and very easy to use and store. If you clean frequently and do not require a large dust receptacle, this vacuum is perfect for the job!

Forget it, very expensive for a machine with no battery!
If I could give it 0 star I would. It arrived in 3 cardboard boxes and all the individual parts wrapped in cardboard. Took forever to get everything out and then there is no battery, just an empty carboard wrapping. I called Dyson, was on the phone for an hour waiting and then answering every question you could think of, and taking photos of te order and sending it to them. They said they would send me a battery but they needed he serial number which is only on the battery. Then they said I should retun it to amazon. So now I have to get everything back in all the cardboard and 3 cardboard boxes some of which I had to rip to get them open. I expected better from Dyson..

Not worth it
Never met soo much plastic. Heats up almost instantly if you put it on turbo. Only reason it’s getting 2 stars is because the amount of dirt it clean up. Battery life is a joke. I’m probably gonna return it cause it feels like I’d break the vacuum just by using it

Suction power is INCREDIBLE, but I really wish this model had a light to see dust!
Ok, y’all. I’ve wanted a cordless Dyson vac for YEARS! I’ve had all of the other competing brands, but have always coveted the Dyson due to everyone claiming that the suction power was leaps and bounds better than all of the rest. Now that I’ve used the Dyson in my own home… they were all RIGHT! The suction power on this is 1000% better than even the next best brand (that I’ve been using of the last 18 months). For example, I had vacuumed a rug of ours earlier in the day. It’s a rug we’ve had for about a year, but one that’s in our living room and gets traffic daily… and vacuuming daily, as well. I went back over my rug after vacuuming with my current cordless vac, and it picked up SO MUCH MORE than I was expected. This lighter-weight cordless vac is SO POWERFUL!PROS:- Suction power is INSANELY GOOD!- The digital display screen lets you know how much time you have left on the charge (which is very nice to have), and also allows you to adjust the intensity of the cleaning power.- Emptying the canister is a breeze! There’s a quick-release lever to empty the main base, and then an additional button to clear off the filter.- Clearing off the filter and removing hair is the BEST I’ve ever experienced! There’s a rubber gasket/seal that pushes any wrapped hair from around the filter screen, and pushes it out into the trash. BRILLIANT!- Maneuverability is great, but honestly, I’ve had better movement with other brands (but not enough to be a “con”).- GREAT battery life! Holds a fantastic charge.- Multiple attachments for quick cleaning things like the car seats, windowsills, 2″ blinds, ceiling fan blades, etc. EASY to swap and connect.CONS:- There is NO LIGHT on this vacuum! A HUGE miss, in my opinion! I love being able to see where the dust is settled, as it helps to ensure that I’ve already vacuumed in a certain spot, and also lets me gauge what areas are getting more dust than usual so that I can address air-filters or ducts needing a quick clean. HUGE miss on such a pricey vac!- You have to hold down the trigger the entire time you’re vacuuming. There’s no “lock” button to keep it running without having to hold the trigger, and that can get tiring when you have a 4,000 square foot home.- Being so lightweight (when compared to other cordless vacs I’ve owned, that is), I’m curious to see if it’ll be as durable over the years. I’m a daily vacuum type of person (thanks to two young kiddos), so it gets heavily used. Hoping the lightweight rod holds up and remains as durable as Dyson products typically are.This thing was built with functionality and convenience in mind, y’all. The canister design was brilliant for getting rid of tangled hair, and being that I have long, thick hair… that’s a huge benefit!20/10 stars for suction power, but not having a light to see dust and the lack of a trigger hold to remain on is such a big thing to me. It would be a 5 star vac if not for those two things… but that’s just my own personal opinion.FANTASTIC gift idea for anyone who loves a clean home!
