Works and looks great, easy to use but skip if the voice recording feature is important to you
TL;DR: Works and looks great with the exception of the recorded message feature.I bought this autofeeder for my cat out of desperation. She meows incessantly for 45 minutes or more before meal times which annoys my dog into shriek howling with every meow and causes me to contemplate double murder. I’ve only had this feeder for a couple days but so far it is working great! My cat is still learning that she must appeal to her new machine overlord for food, but she is already much better than she was. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and I will update my review if anything changes.PROS:- Easy set-up. It takes a few minutes but unless you’re changing the schedule all the time for some reason, it’s really not terrible. Some reviews claim you have to cycle through every time and portion to change something but that’s not true. You can use the “+” and “-” buttons to navigate to the meal slot you want to change without starting from the beginning. Unused slots will have a time but if you set the portion to zero they will not dispense anything. This is probably obvious but it did confuse me for a second. I set mine to have 4 meals spaced 6 hours apart and it’s been working like a charm.- No jamming problems even with larger kibble so far. The cat food I buy has larger chunks interspersed in with smaller kibble and I was worried that it might jam up the dispenser. So far it has been working just fine. It has a helpful sticker on the lid that shows you the largest kibble size it will accommodate and it seems to be accurate. I bought the 5L version which holds 4-5 lbs of food.- My devious cat has yet to figure out how to get extra kibble from it. The panel auto-locks so she can’t press any buttons. I’ve seen her stick her paw up the chute to dig around but she hasn’t succeeded in any extra snacks yet as far as I can tell. It’s only been a few days so time will tell if she will use her demon powers to beat the machine. I would suggest either putting this feeder on the floor or securing it in place because I suspect that my cat would be able to push it off a table and/or knock it over of it was empty enough. The weight D batteries alone might make it relatively stable to tipping though. I have not actually seen her move it yet but I remain wary because she is a larger cat at 14 lbs and generally a menace to society*.- It seems well-made and is very sleek and modern looking. Appearance is less important than function to me but it does look quite nice.- I like that there is a battery meter display even when plugged in. I intend to have it plugged in all the time but it will be nice to know when the back-up batteries need to be replaced.- After completing set-up, I decided to move the feeder and had not installed batteries in it yet. I was expecting to reset at least the time but was pleasantly surprised to see it did not reset at all. It was unplugged for all of 10 seconds so I can’t attest to how long it can go without power or batteries before resetting the time. – A customer service rep from PETLIBRO messaged me before my product arrived with some helpful tips and reminder that they have customer service available 24 hours on week days if I need it and a 12 month warranty. I have not had a need to contact customer service but I thought the pro-active message was nice.CONS:- It is not clear from anywhere in the instructions what constitutes a portion. From my measurements, it seems that one portion is equivalent to approximately 1/8 cup. I am happy with this portion size but I wish it had been clear without requiring experimentation on my part.- In my opinion, the only truly poor feature about this product is the recorded message option (whether you intend to use it or not). Other reviews mention that the recording quality is very poor and I have to agree. It is very staticy and mine also makes a rhythmic rasping noise even when recording silence. I had no intention of using this feature anyway as the sound of a pin drop would probably send her scrambling from across the house if it meant food. The problem is that there doesn’t seem to be a way to delete or turn off the recording without resetting the whole machine. I hit the record button by mistake during set-up, which is very easy to do, and I didn’t want to start over. I “bypassed” it by hitting the record button quick succession to create as short of a recording as I possibly could. The quick blip of static when it dispenses food doesn’t bother me but it is annoying you can’t just turn this feature off all together. This is by no means a deal breaker to me but if having a nice recorded message is important to you, I would not recommend this feeder.- Not exactly a con but I prefer a shallow dish for feeding my cat. The bowl that comes with the feeder is deep but it is a nice bowl and I like that it has a tray that attaches to the feeder to keep it from being kicked around. Luckily her old shallow bowl fits nicely within the provided bowl and I haven’t noticed any issues with spilling while doing this. Not a big deal but something to consider if it matters to you.*I promise that I actually love my cat very much! 😂 Picture attached. She’s the best cat in the world… when she’s not hungry.

Must have for the forever hungry animals
Like the title says, if you have an animal that is always hungry, this will help. I work early mornings through late nights. My cat now doesn’t go screaming through the house looking for food during the day.My cat will attempt to chew through the lid of the hopper or stick his paw in the hole it dispenses from, but hasn’t been successful in either attempt to get more food. I use Purina Naturals kibble and it has no issue dispensing. I’m sure the kibble size can be a little bit bigger and dispense without issue. I didn’t set up the meal call feature, and I’m not sure of its quality. The bowl is stainless steel, which makes it easy to clean.Wi-fi setup was really easy. The app will ask you to set up a type of care plan for your animal, but you don’t need to, to use the feeder. Scheduling the feeding times was easy to configure and I can manually dispense more outside of feeding times if I need to.This model comes with a battery option and a plug-in option. The batteries are D cells. I’m currently only using the plug-in option.

Easy to set up, even portions, great wifi reach. Overall, love it!
Incoming lengthy review so here’s the TLDR/most important stuff to note:- Easy machine set up- 2.5 & 5G with great wifi reach for app access- Dual power source with a lengthy adapter and option for 2 or 3 D batteries (batteries are not included, but not both at the same time are required)- Large food tank that dispenses 2-15mm sized kibble, and a window screen to see how full the tank is- Portions are super accurate (try manually dispensing a few times to make sure your machine is the same)- Desiccant bag for freshness (Slight con: these have to be replaced & bought separately every 2 weeks so it can add up. 1 is included in your order.)- EASY app interface, with easy set up- Scheduled feedings, with customization for a certain time and portion per scheduled feeding- 1/12 fraction system, but easy to convert online if you Google it (i.e. 1/4 cup = 3/12 cup)- Alerts for when desiccant bag needs changing and when there’s a blockage- Manual feeding option with choice of portion size at the touch of a button- Meal call set up so you can call to your pet with either their standard voice set up OR you can record a voice recording so they hear your voice! So I finally decided to pull the trigger on getting an automatic dry food feeder to better suit my schedule. And I gotta say, if you’re looking for one… this is it! Setting up the machine is simple, and the cord for plug in power is a decent length — and YES, it’s also battery operated! (2 or 3 D batteries) It’s always nice to have a fail safe, so you can use one or the other based on your preference. The inner mechanism for dispensing the food has not clogged at all for me, and I was feeding my stinky with Instincts Raw which includes slightly larger pieces of Rabbit hide. I was worried it wouldn’t dispense, but nope! Everything runs smoothly. (Which is good because those are her favorite pieces) I also tested the portions with the Manual feeding option just to make sure the fractioned portions I wanted were correct, and those were on point as well. The app has to be the real selling point for me here. It’s so simple to set up — no crazy mumbo jumbo to go through just to get a schedule set. If you look at my screenshots, you’ll see how clean the interface is. I was able to set up the exact time I wanted a feeding, and you can schedule multiple feedings a day. With those scheduled feedings, they go by a 12th fraction system. That can be a little confusing at first if you’re not familiar with fraction conversions, and you’re trying to be precise with your little one’s calorie intake, which is what I’m doing. But a simple google search of “1/4 cup to 1/12 fraction” will pull up a handy calculator so you can get the right portions! You can also set different portions for the different scheduled times as well. You can get super personal with it — INCLUDING adding meal time calls. I added a voice recording calling her name since she’s so used to a human getting her attention by pouring her food. Even with me sitting next to her, her ears perk up and she RUNS if she hears the machine calling her name lol… I absolutely love the alerts this app sends to your phone as well. It notifies you if the food bowl happens to be too full to fully dispense the portion listed for the schedule. Once it’s cleared (by a human, or your creature happens to start scarfing it down) it’ll also notify you of that! Also, there’s alerts for the desiccant bags when they need changing after 2 weeks. These keep the food fresh inside the tanks and helps control moisture, so it’s necessary. I’d have to say that’s my ONLY con. $15.99 for a 4 pack, and I don’t believe there’s an option for a larger pack, so really you’d be buying these every 2 months — which, to some, is not even that bad. But I’m horrible with remembering stuff, so I’d say just subscribe to get them shipped to you automatically.SO in conclusion — yeah. This was the best purchase I’ve made so far this year on Amazon. I have nothing but great things to say about this product, and I really hope you pull the trigger on it, too!

Good app but needs work
Pros:-Warns you when food is “low”-good app features-good design (aside from the motor and rotor)-easy to setupCons:-Doesn’t actually warn you when it’s low…it warns you when it’s empty but calls that low..-Will claim it successfully fed your pet right before it hits low but this isn’t true. If it was low around the time they were fed ,they may have been partially fed and although it says how much was dispensed when successful…it DOESN’T when it is partially dispensed.-the motor is very slow and loud and struggles with foods over 10mm, the rotor design is not very good and prone to skipping. There is only 1 brand out there that can dispense 10mm+ food effortlessly and quickly but they lack app features or a low indicator .-manually feeding doesn’t obey the voice notification settings on other schedules and always does it twice. With no way of changing it-price is definitely up there even without a camera feature.

Me and My Cats Love It!
Me and My Cats Love It!The Petlibro auto feeder is well worth it. I bought this because I am lazy and I am very glad this feeder does everything for me!This product is of great quality and very easy to use. Plug and play. The app will do everything (but put the food in) for you once you set it up.Main features: Easy to use, easy to clean, and easy to setupEase of use: Setup was basically just plug n’ play. Set up your cats schedule through the app along with how much to feed them and you don’t need to do anything else, but fill the large container with food every now and then.✅ Pros:- App is easy to learn and configure based on your cats needs.- The food container is large and lasts my cats a month of feeding❌ Cons:- Every now and then some food will get stuck inside little crevices, but it has not jammed on me once.Final Thoughts & Recommendations:- I would buy this again if needed, or if I decided to get more cats

Amazing customer service and great product
I’ve had this feeder for about 4 months now. Last month the feeder malfunctioned and would not stop beeping. I reached out to the company’s customer service and they were very helpful to try and help me stop the beeping. When we eventually tried everything and the beeping hadn’t stopped they sent me a replacement part. I would absolutely recommend this automatic cat feeder. It has made my life so much easier so I am feeding my cat the exact amount I need to and right on time so my cat isn’t pestering me! While I already loved the product, what really made me want to be a lifelong customer was their amazing customer service. So glad I bought this cat feeder!

A great auto-feedet for everyday use
We love this auto-feeder for our cat. We purchased it anticipating that we would occasionally travel and need one anyway, but we have enjoyed knowing our kitty always has food and on a consistent schedule whether we are home or not.The app let’s you set and name meals and customize the amount of food dispensed. You can also add a “meal vall” and record a message, but we haven’t used that. The app notifies me if there is a problem dispensing food/a jam, when the food is low, and if its time to change the dessicant filter in the hopper. There are other features too, but I basically can set it and forget it which is the best kind of “smart” device.

Good device but has a few cons
I like the ease of the Petlibro for the business of everyday. Plus it allows me to not have to worry if the kids fed the animals.Pros:* Easy to set up* Easy to fill* Allows for timers and how much food you would like your animal to get (1/2c etc)* Is not too bulky* For cats it lasts quite a while before the next fillCons:* requires descant refills frequently (so extra cost)* overfills if the animal didn’t eat their previous meal completely (so can lead to a mess if not caught in time).

RELIABLE!!!
NOT A SPONSORED REVIEW… LIKE AT ALLI was a bit hesitant to purchase this, especially after reading some mixed reviews and it’s connectivity with Wi-Fi and issues that might arise, given that I was about to travel in a couple days and leave my dog at home. I did when I got it was I tested it out and used it for a couple days and it seemed reliable so when I went on vacation, I made sure the people checking in with my dog could check and see if his food was good as well as check the cameras, I have in my house to make sure food was dispensed. It lasted me about five days. My dog gets 4 cups a day, two in the morning to at night. My only complaint is that the bowl is really tiny and I have a bigger dog, but it’s also not too bad because the feeder doesn’t just dispense all the food at once. It comes out slowly so it also helps with my dog not eating too quickly. It seems pretty reliable. I’ve had it for about three weeks and I’ve had no issues with it.

10/10 for on the go or restaurant workers, just don’t rely on notifications.
I do like it a lot, I’m a bartender so lots of doubles and late nights. It’s been about a year with it and the ONLY problem I’ve had is that it now doesn’t let me know when the food level is low. That’s the 4 stars.Example: a couple months ago, it never notified me about low food levels till my cat started going crazy and I noticed that it was out. It would still notify me that the feeding time was coming up soon, so it was weird. I’ve tried fixing it, updating it, played with the settings and can’t figure it out. I now check the food levels weekly in the container but regardless, this has saved alot of worry when it comes to feeding him.In the app you can adjust “portions” and keeps it persistent. Never had an issue with extra food pouring out or not enough, unless there’s little to no food in the container.10/10 recommend for on the go or restaurant people. Just watch out for that “low level food” warning, it’s unreliable later down the road.
